each time you come to the last radius of the pocket it does a sweep out and back in to start the cut again. What is the thought process behind this ? to let the mill ramp speed or chip clear..?
@JohnBlaze5053 жыл бұрын
It's just a lead in/lead out. Most Mastercam toolpath offer this feature. It's easier on the tool to do a smooth lead in and out.

Nice. I know this is probably not a real part, but what kind of part is this based on?
@thomasbarlow42233 жыл бұрын
Why would it not be real.... Inconel aint cheap
@crissd82833 жыл бұрын
I can't imagine buying that piece of inconel, spend a lot of time programming all that, and putting wear on your mills and machine just to make a fake part. You could just put a chunk of wax or aluminum and a cheap ebay bit if you just want to show off a fake part.

I would like to see a video of them using a JX3 insert on stainless. My work uses them for high temperature steel like inconel but refuses to use them on stainless saying "there not designed for that". Personally I think roughing out 4" of stainless with one JX3 vs multiple indexes of a cngg is worth it but what do I know I'm just a grunt.

Have a look around. There are a lot of videos that go over this. NYC cnc has a lot of them, including this series: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXupoWyPn6mkn7s Edit: I’m pretty sure titans goes over this in their academy with specific instructions for Fusion360.

@@caseywaite599 naahhhhh... Dear naah.... I looked and searched all videos for multi axis....4th 5th ... No one willing to give education top to bottom ... From beginning to end including setups and taking offset and making Program.....i Nyc channel is nice.... But Sometimes I feel that.... There is so many industries for cnc machining they also have monopoly .... If they will guide and make video regarding 4th and 5th axis then they will loose their job work.... So I don't think they will tell you exact procedure .... I know titans will see this comments ... what to do.... I don't know so i keep commenting on informative video to make videos about multi Axis.... because 3 axis is basic and easy to find content.... Also i know 4th and 5 axis machine type varies by different manufactur. May be these scenario we should consider.
