Thanks for the great video. I have the same issues with the exception of the wiper sensor issue with my model Y that was built in Fremont California.

The wiper is a pain. I completely forgot about it recently because it hasn’t rained in 2 weeks and it’s started up again…it still hasn’t rained. Anything like bugs or tree sap spots are enough to set the sensor off. I’m hoping it gets fixed in an update coming soon.

Very recognizable annoyances, I have the exact same experience. Especially the one about Auto-Pilot/EAP/FSD. Although it is quite impressive to experience what the car can do independently (when it feels like it), it is less than 5% of what is needed to get through traffic safely. Especially in Europe.

It’s a shame that we all have similar experiences but promising how much potential there still is, with over the air updates in their arsenal we should hopefully see many improvements in the future 🤞🏻

It needs more cars but it cannot handle country roads…there are a lot of those in the UK, I’m not sure how data can fix that 🤷🏼‍♂️

Absolutely the same situation in Australia. MIC Model Y RWD. Wipers, Autopilot, plus I get 4 to 5 phantom braking episodes on each highway trip. It thinks the car in the left lane is a threat when I'm passing and just lifts, or even a car approaching from behind...that causes issues! The only hope is that these are all software, so hopefully they can get it sorted out.

I’ve heard they are improving the wipers soon, instead of using the front camera only they will use all of them to sense the rain…hopefully it works 🤞🏻

My Kona is very much identical. Bings and bongs drive me demented, the wipers smudge a dry screen but don’t notice rain, the accident detection system sees cars in side roads and tries to do an emergency stop…….I guess it’s progress.

I think using the windscreen washer can help clean the sensor in the top of windscreen.

The alarms are helpful. Rattles are annoying. They seem to be temperature dependent and also caused by the seat belts.

I hate the lack of quick acting volume balancing when you change audio sources (e.g., from Netflix to radio). The sounds just explodes for a second before reducing the volume.

They do an ok job but I’ll be honest I really on my mk1 eyeball and use the mirrors. They both auto dip in reverse and the view is pretty good

Auto polot here in north Norway is completely nightmare. Narrow roads, tesla love to drive in middle, during summer grass flips on verges and sensors are in constant craziness and make noises like computer games. And winter is unbelievable crab. Everywhere snow hard to see edge of road, during snowfall very often no gps service.

My model Y is the same, especially the wipers. Worst thing is the maps randomly going off because of an issue they have with EE. Getting rid of mine, had it 14 months.

Yeah, FSD prior to V11.4.1 is not to be trusted in cities. AutoPilot alone should refuse to work in cities because, well, it knows it can't do the job. Give AP a nice fast throughway and it shines so that's the fix for that. And get 11.4.1 if you are on the Beta program, otherwise just drive it yourself. As for wipers, arghhh! Don't rely on Auto setting unless it's really raining. Mist and sprinkles just confuse the poor thing. Set it to On or Off or pick one of those speeds. It's easy, half-push the button on the left stalk and it will wipe. It will also put the other choices on the bottom left of the display and just pick one, preferably not Auto as noted above. Bings and Bongs, Joe mode helps a little but Joe must be half deaf. When it thinks you are about to go off the road because you strayed a bit over the verge line it perversely tells you it is disabling Auto Lane Correction! How safe is that? Yes it just acts up and you hope you'll survive the 5 year old to 14 year old years and just wish it would grow up now. I've lately learned to love the little tyke and treat its noises as conversation to which I respond accordingly. Cheers.

I think I’m just about getting over the terrible 2’s and now getting to the same point as you in that the car just wants to chat to me everyday 😂 Luckily it is generally software related so hopefully in the near future we will see some more updates that rectify these 🤞🏻

I own a 3 Dual LR. Cheaply made but very efficient. Before driving, EVERY TIME, settings-autopilot: disable Forward collision warning, emergency braking, lane keeping AND the car is always in Joe mode. But the car still swerves away from kerbs, bushes, shadows etc with an alarm and I never use Autopilot or Cruise because it is downright dangerous! Tesla is an American software company that thinks that whatever works in the US, means it does in ‘the world’! AP can’t even handle gentle bends without cancelling mid bend. These cars are still being mis-sold and we are beta testing at our expense.

It does struggle a lot on roads that aren’t well marked and more or less straight. I’d be careful about disabling safety features as this could invalidate your insurance, it might worth checking with them first 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@thercsev Create a problem eg. Touchscreen 1m away with 4mm icons for basic tasks - Provide software solution eg. AEB,LKA,FCW? Teslas are no better at basic driving and automated nannies than a teenage L driver. I have held IAM(Roadsmart) Masters, RoSPA(ROADAR) Gold, HPC Gold driving qualifications for many years, (all examined annually by UK Police advanced driving examiners). I have been driving for 35 years (UK and the last few in France) and have never been so distracted that I drove into oncoming traffic, the back of anything, a bush, a pavement….. if any insurer wanted to challenge that widely proven dysfunctional automated functions that are worse than a bad driver, are better than me, they’ll have a job, especially as none of this is stated in my insurance contract.

I have the same rattling noise (fragm 2’50”). Unfortunately the Service center can’t fix the problem because they didn’t know the reason. Can you please explain again what exactly the problem was? Thanks!!

They service centre told me that the boot lid was misaligned to the car body. It was adjusted and this solved it.

My 12 year old Citroën C3 Picasso has wipers that goes bananas with a few drops of rain and pauses for minutes when its pouring down. I am sure Tesla will fix this issue some day 😁

I don't see what you mean when you comparing the basic autopilot, TeslaVision and FSD taxi.. You can't really speak about Tesla FSD not being ready by experiencing Autopilot... It's really like if I would say I don't think DVD got good quality while watching a VHS tape.... The autopilot is not even applicable on small roads, it's only for highways and big roads and it's a drive-assist tool...

Great there is somebody who can speak openly about Tesla problems... There are many reviews from Tesla fanatics where everything goes well :-) For my point of view the Tesla Vision can't work properly because of missing radar. Cameras can work as main information stream but not for precise measurement of distances... Tesla 3/Y lost also parking sensors - the same problem, camera can't estimate the distance precisely - it is feature not error :-)

2023 models are crap because they rely only on Tesla vision. I have model 3 in the US and have tesla insurance which uses the cars sensors feedback to determine your driver score. It constantly gets incorrect collision alerts which not only mean annoying sounds but it affects your driver score which affects your monthly tesla insurance premium. The use of vision for parking sensors is another cost cutting tactic that we the end user have to suffer from. Same issue wirh the wipers, it uses cameras unlike every other car, hence the reason its crap.

The Tesla vision has a lot of work to be done, just today it phantom braked for me on the motorway. The only good thing is that Tesla can fix it with software and push it out to the ones we have hopefully

I think some of it is USA vehicle expectations of build(if its US model) and also in the heat its softer/flexible..unfortunately its the uk where its not warm and our expectations are higher..awesome car though. I still want one

They are great cars and I think you are right. The current autopilot works great in America with a grid system and arrow straight highways but put it in the country roads of England and it starts to struggle. I think the positives outweigh the negatives, check out my 5 good things about this car video 👍🏻
