I don't try to take the word of Reddit too seriously, but someone posted on the Xdefiant sub about how there's no more casual fps's anymore because the players are simply better than they were fifteen years ago, and honestly they were pretty much right. Not only has the skill ceiling rose over time, we also have better technology that has become more financially approachable for the average consumer. Better frame rates, better headphones, better displays, better controllers. Being able to use sticks isn't a skill gap anymore, it's implied. People have to start recognizing that the MW2 2009 days was lightning in a bottle that'll very likely not be replicated for years, if ever.

well thats true but also you forgot the most important thing: There are alternatives. COD has skill based matchmaking and offers the Arcade-Shooter experience aswell. Most people who are "bad" at shooters played XDefiant for the first few days and then probably stopped it for COD instead. Whatever the reason may be (skill diff, less time, simply dont want to learn another game, etc...) So I think it's safe to say that "better players" stayed with XD and thats why it seems that gamers got so much better and XD is a "sweat game".

I normally do not have a playstyle that involves jumping around much since I prefer shooters like BF or Insurgency. But I have noticed I usually have somewhat better outcomes when I make an effort to jump around corners and basically try and slide more etc. I like to try and get flanks and get on the sides or behind enemies especially on modes like Occupy. But at the same time paying attention to spawns and where people are likely to be at helps as well. Also started using a controller recently and I see WHY people prefer it. Once you get on target with hitmarkers they are usually dead. But with MnK I have to keep track and have lost a shit load of fights as a result.

Still the issue of shooting 30 bullets into someone for them to not die but turn around and one shot you.

The objective means nothing for score. This is absolutely a kill death game. Love to play occupy and domination. I will have the most deaths because I will just get there. I’ll have double and triple amount of time in the objective. and still get last place on the scoreboard. Objectives do not matter just go in and get as many kills as you can. That’s all that matters.

That’s just you being bad. Get rid of the old cod mindset. This game is about winning not getting high kills. Someone with obj and high support and or damage will be in the top two spots on the leaderboard most of the time. The reason you’re on the bottom of leaderboard cause your problem is you can’t aim and get kills. It takes skill in this game to play obj and fragout if you can’t do both you aren’t going near the top of the leaderboard. I have a 4.3 w/l, 2.7 k/d, 720 spm, 3800 skill rating and I’m a solo player that only plays domination. It only took me a few days to learn people’s tendencies and use it against them and learn what play style works best for this game. Plus they’re already looking into rewarding players more xp towards guns for playing obj. If you want me to carry you just let me know. (I’m also in the top 1% for most mvps)

Objective is more important for score and for win then KD, I regularly on higher place even compared to ppl with much better KD because in the end of the match I have over 3k objective score and they have like 100-150 XD And often they not even on second place - they on third at max, because second guy have 2,5k, kek. You will have not that good KD playing objective maybe, but absolutely more significant impact on match in general, while still be able to maintain good KD if you good enough😉

Oh, you’re so wrong. Your kill death absolutely matters. It’s better for you to go in and get as many kills as you possibly can then it is for you to play the objective at all. You’re gonna get all of your experience points going into the map and getting as many kills as you possibly can. The objective does not matter.
