Your black eyed Susan’s vine had more blooms than any other one I’ve seen. Every time I see them they don’t have many blooms. Very pretty.

That's funny, I haven't done anything to them lately but they have really taken off in the cooler weather. So pretty!

I just love ornamental cabbage and kale. I have put them in pots in the spring in the past. That way the rabbits could not reach them. I deadhead my marigolds and they are the most showiest in the fall.

I always forget about ornamental cabbage! I keep meaning to grow it, but I'd like to try it from seed. Maybe next year,! The marigolds were a nice surprise because I usually am not a big fan of them, but they look great. I bet they'd be even better with deadheading! Thanks for watching!

Congrats on 1K! I needed some of these ideas! Just bought some sedum for my new sun area.

Awesome! I love sedum because it's like you only need to buy it once, and then you can divide it forever!

I can buy mums but I have never been able to overwinter them. Ahh sedum autumn joy is one of my favourites I have it everywhere and I have a dark leaf variety. My white allysum is huge but the purple did not come back this year. Lovely update Laura, have a great day hope,the Helene passed you by, Ali ☔️☔️🇨🇦

Hi Ali! I love the darker variety sedums too, I wish I had more of those. We have not had any effects from Helene luckily. We still haven't had rain in quite some time but tomorrow looks promising. The garden should be very happy. Hope you are having a nice start to fall!

I agree, I grow the same, except thunbergia, I’ll try that next year. I didn’t have any success this year on ageratum, I’ll try again next year, I did grow them from seed last year and I like them a lot. None of my purple alyssum were successful this year, but the white ones are doing wonderfully. The verbena I adore, you need to try verbena Bampton, I love that as well. It’s entirely different than the verbena you show, but when I look at mine, I think to myself, that it would look great around your cauldron. Try it next year, I did well with it winter sowing. Have a good day, thanks for the video

Thank you for the recommendation, I will definitely check it out. I love finding new favorites! Maybe I can try it from seed, I am starting to put together my seed starting list for next year. The season has flown by so fast! Thanks for watching!

@@thepurplepumpkinpatch An “accident” that happened and I love it, is I have seashells cosmos coming up thru the verbena like you have. The shades of light pink and white coming thru the purple is awesome..

I'm in CT and my marigolds didn't do well. There are a couple still alive, but they're very tiny. I thought it was because I didn't fertilize them after planting.
@thepurplepumpkinpatch4 ай бұрын
That's too bad. These are planted in pretty sandy soil, and they didn't look good after I planted them, I actually thought they would die. But they bounced back and I really haven't done much of anything to them so I don't know, maybe they thrive on neglect!
