I tried new wash as I thought it sounded like a more refined better version of doing ‘condition only’ but I found it wasn’t an improvement on just letting any light silicone free conditioner sit on my hair for five minutes and then thoroughly rinsing out and certainly didn’t justify the massive price tag! But maybe that’s just my hair which tends to the drier/coarser side

Interesting! I suppose one of the draws for me is that I DON'T have to let a conditioner sit for five minutes. The massaging stage is longer than with a shampoo, for sure, but then there's no rinse-condition-leave-rinse to follow up! x

I love the Bioderma Atoderm Huile de Duche (shower oil). Even easier, comes with a pump, you apply to wet skin (takes about 2-3 pumps and can quickly spread over legs, chest and arms. Then you rinse, get out of the shower and towel dry.

New Wash is nice but I never feel I’ve rinsed it out thoroughly enough. I got one in a Christmas beauty box but it’s a bit too spendy to buy again. A similar product which worked better for me and made my hair feel cleaner is HIF Cleansing Conditioner by Deciem, although that’s seemingly no longer available in the UK. Try it if you’re lucky enough to travel to the US as it’s only $21 online there!

Nivea used to do the same cream that you can apply in the shower on wet skin, like Sanctuary. I don’t know if they still do it. But it was cheap and easy to find in Europe. But I found that with this kind of product you need to use a lot. The bottle finishes quickly.

The Brazilian beauty company Natura has some similar products. I haven't tried them, but my friends say they're very good. They have exotic fragrances - maybe a little strong for some people, others love them.

I need a lather when I wash my hair, I know it sounds daft but I’m a traditional girl 🤣🤣 I swear by Philip Kingsley body building shampoo and moisture balance conditioner. I love Jo Malone but that perfume looks stressful 🤣🤣🤣

I was so disappointed with New Wash and felt, with the price tag, it was akin to The Emporer's New Clothes. For context, I have very fine curly hair. After using it for a few months it made my hair flat and I gave away a nearly £100 bottle off Co wash... It was a very expensive fail for me.

I was really disappointed by the Jo Malone paintbrush. Pink Vetiver is amazing, but the dry down on the brush is different and I find it really off-putting. Which is sad because the concept is brilliant and I also spent money on it 🙄 I'm always looking for solutions for my teen's head so I'm going to check out hair story and see if I can get it in Australia!
