Thanks as always Ross for another great video. As a beginner trader I'm wondering how one builds a coherent technical strategy? Your expertise is amazing, but I don't feel confident to trade a strategy like the one you deploy. How about a video detailing beginner strategy plays? Both from the points you just made but also technical set up? Thanks again.

I love this talk. I see a lot of things I have done well, and a lot of really bad mistakes I have made. One technique I have learned when it comes to chasing, is I take a breath and remind myself that I have a strategy, and my strategy is based off of making good decisions, and the profit goals are a result of decisions, not the other way around. It can be so easy to get in the mindset of "I could end the day with this much profit" when the goal should be to end the day making decisions that I can feel good about. It's really been helpful to me overall to look at things like golf or other games, and just life in general, and think about how important a clear head is and how to achieve that. In golf you pay a caddy to remind you to stick to your strategy. In trading, it's just you and a mirror. It's very difficult to reset every time, and take every trade and scenario as it's own individual situation, and maybe that's actually one of the hardest skills to develop.

I am a young trader and I have made many of these mistakes in the past that led to me blowing up my first account. Rather than emotionally trade trying to make back the loss and then subsequently making a bigger loss. I have to slow down and remember my plan and share size relative to my account. Don’t go chasing the possibility of a big win, because the worst thing that could happen is it comes true and you lose it all with a bad mentality. Don’t be like me, thank you for this video Ross 👏🏻

The term "plan" can be a little subjective. For some it's extensive analysis and for others it's just a watchlist based on the premarket gappers and then watching price action and the RSI.

I'm new. I know I am over trading. But I'm learning so much. I would probably be profitable if I would slow down. But I'm currently going sideways with a small account and no commissions fees. I was green 5 days in a row then a big red that wiped my gain. Well. It's part of my learning process a guess.

And also never never force your trades some days there are no trades even the best of the best have gone days with no trades. I paper traded 4 a year before I spent any money my trades in the last almost 40 days are all green. I did sit of a couple 4 a week but and alot of these trades were 5 to 8 trades per day I have to stop wanting to buy everything I need to stick to my guns keep to just 2 /3 trades a day.

Worst mistake I make is giving back profit. I make twice my daily goal and keep trading. Sometimes you make more by trading less.
@goldeneagle36382 жыл бұрын
I have the exactly same problem. First trade is superb. Second trade is half of the first. The third one is a loss (nearly wiping out my whole day profit) and fourth is either a win where I get my money back or a much bigger loss. The second Case is more common. Every time I stop at 2 trades I make more than any other day.

Hey Ross, I made the mistake of jumping into real money trading early on and lost around $1000 in the first month after a few trades. I use the TDameritrade platform and have tried using the simulator, however for some reason I can see the price of the stock on the level 2 before it actually goes there on the chart. Making it really easy to cheat the system and make money. I went back to live trading and am watching your beginner course now on warrior trading. At the moment I am practicing in real market with a small amount of shares, making risk a very small factor. Is this a bad idea? I feel like I’m learning and not risking a lot. Thanks!
