I found the best way to use the light wand packaging (same for the contour product) is to barely squeeze the tube with the stopper open until you just see the applicator "puff up"... you wont actually see the product but turn the stopper closed.. ready to use. I can get several applications out of that one squeeze before I need to 'load the tip' again of that makes sense. Never use it in the open position and never squeeze the tube hard enough to see the product coming out of the sponge applicator. Hope that helps!! No more messy packaging and wasted product! 🤗❤❤😘😘😘

Hey Jamie! You're not the only one that feels that way about the Magic Cream. For me, its just a glowy daytime moisturizer. It has some anti-agers in it, but they are waaaay down on the ingredient list- not enough to make a big impact. I do love the instant plumpness and glow it gives, but I just don't think its worth the price tag. My favorites from CT are her lipsticks- Bitch Perfect and Super Cindy. Always love your 5 best/5 worst!

YESSSS love this video! It's so hard to not like Charlotte's products because most of them are phenomenal! I agree with most of your picks but I would reverse the Airbrush Powder into my least favorite and the Full Fat Lashes into my favorite. I have never been able to get the airbrush powder to look good on my dry skin...I don't know what it is! Other than that, her Light Wonder Foundation is one of my ALL TIME favorites! Oh - and I find her shadow formula to be so much better in her "Look in a Palette's" - super creamy and easy to blend!

yeah the powder doesn't work for me either. I can see it on my skin. Glad someone else has trouble with it as I start to wonder what I am doing wrong with all the raves about it! Also agree that the shadows in the "Look in a palette' are nicer than the quads.

I bought that Airbrush powder for setting under my eyes and had high hopes. I was disappointed to find that it oxidizes on me and looks too dark on my fair skin. It also emphasized my under eye lines and texture. In order to use it up I now use it as a face finishing powder over top of my setting powder to avoid the oxidization but still get the poor blurring effect.

I totally agree about the airbrush powder! Everyone is obsessed with that powder but I bought it and I didn't like it at all and didn't see a difference from any other pressed powder.... Now hourglass powders, now we're talkin!!!! My all time favorite powders ever!

I'm new to your channel, but I wanted to say that I absolutely love the magic cream! I have really, really sensitive skin and this is one of the only anti-aging creams I can use without turning into a giant flaking eczema patch! It lays so beautifully on my skin, and I'm as dry as desert on top of having uber sensitive skin. I know it's all about preference but I just wanted to say that I love it!

I have mauve lips and there is no pink in it at all and it looks just like mine with a tinge of brown. It looks nothing like the photo on me, very purple nude with brown. However, it’s comfortable, not drying, great formula. I think her stuff needs to be swatched in person as they wear differently on diff people; I’d wager the models have concealer over their lips before the lipstick for the promo photos. Also, not a lot of fragrance (unlike Mac and YSL) and doesn’t create or emphasize lines-best formula on the market

I love the pillow talk lipstick! Nude lipstick usually pulls brown on me but this one sits really nicely between pink and brown and settles down into the prettiest colour on my lips. It's also so comfortable to wear!!

I’m gutted that you didn’t like the Legendary Brows! I’ve tried everything out there and adore the precision and application of the wand, the consistency of the gel, and how nicely it holds my brows for a fluffy amplified effect while not making it crunchy nor overdone. It’s one of my splurge items and ABH or Gimme Brow just do not compare as ABH has little to no hold and Gimme Brow is too gloopy : ( I also love CT shadow quads but that I can objectively understand not wanting to shell out the figures for. Though for busy girls working in corporate offices, they help you mindlessly create flattering and flawless eye looks that blend like a dream and stay on without help of primer. Some days you don’t have time to think about makeup but still want to be effortlessly stunning - The Dolce Vita quad is my secret weapon!

S/O to Goddess Skin Clay Mask - so good! A must for me before any event. You might want to give Legendary Lashes Volume 2 a go - it's a reformulated smudge-proof version. I also love the lipsticks (both formulas), lip liners, Colour Chameleon eye sticks and the Eyes to Mesmerize cream shadows. Not into Brightening Youth Glow (does nothing) or the Hollywood Lips matte liquid (smoother formulas elsewhere, colors go all brown on me). One product that I wasn't that into at first is the Hollywood Contour Wand, but now I love it? It's like a quick one-step bronze and contour (I'm kind of over doing both), tho it's in that meh packaging like the Hollywood Light Wand ... which you've inspired me to revisit. Anyway, love 5&5 and all your insights! Thanks, Jamie.

I've only tried the face palettes by CT & for $75 I expected more. Everything was too shimmery & had very little pigmentation in it. I returned it. I've tried samples of The Magic Cream but wasn't impressed enough to purchase full size. What I hear are the stand outs in her line are her lip liners & lipsticks & her compact setting powder ( neither of which I've tried)

I’m a Charlotte Tilbury fanatic and have most of her stuff. I agree with the mascara it’s never been my go to. Have you tried legendary lashes volume 2? She reformulated it because so many people complained about the smudging. Agree about Flawless Filter it’s so versatile and so youthful. I did a top ten and Trying to remember what was in my top five in common with you. The powder definitely was there. Her night cream was my number 1 I just love how my skin feels when I wake up after using it. Loved your explanations as to why you do and don’t get on with products. Legendary lashes volume 2 is fantastic and doesn’t smudge. I absolutely LOVE HER QUADS! Especially The Dolce Vita & The Rock Chick. I think they blend amazingly and the “pop” shades are magical on my eyes. The rock n’ kohl eyeliner would definitely be one of my favorite products along with her eye cream & between the sheets lipstick, her bronze & glow is beautiful, & I’d say wonder glow is absolutely amazing especially in humid climates where you want to keep your makeup light. I also love her light wonder foundation. I love her magic cream, it’s super hydrating. The key is to use a generous portion of the product and work it into the skin really well prior to foundation.

Hourglass! I love my CT and in fact mix the poweders sometimes but if I had to choose it would be Hourglass. I was able to BAKE my undereyes for the first time with the Hourglass.....im almost 40 with dry skin, never thought I would bake but with the Hourglass it really is beautiful.

I agree with your best category. The eyeshadow quads? Really? Yes they are expensive (even more expensive in Australia), but so are the Tom Ford quads that she developed when she worked there. The Dolce Vita palette is one of my favourites. I love that the shades work together to create a subtle or complete look. CT has reformulated the legendary lashes mascara. I haven’t tried it, but I’m pretty sure it won’t smudge because that was the biggest criticism. Yes, the magic cream is expensive and I won’t buy it again. I agree, don’t buy skincare from a makeup brand, even Bobbi Brown. They work backstage at a fashion show, not for everyday. Overall I love Charlotte Tilbury makeup.

Hi Jamie: This is the first video of yours that I’ve watched and you did a very detailed, fair, job on the reviews. I should say that I am 66 and my age will most likely have an impact on my experience with Magic Cream. I’ve used some very high end skin care lines and bar none, her magic line is ahead of the pack for me. I instantly saw a difference with using the Magic Cream and those results are even more enhanced when you use her Magic Serum Chrystal Elixir before applying the cream. I had been using the Drunk Elephant line prior and also really liked it, but I find the Charlotte Tilbury line far superior for my own skin. Thank you so much for a great video.

Great review! I do agree with you with the Magic Cream. It doesn't give enough moisture for my skin, (I have eczema flare ups sometimes) so the Kiels intensive face cream works the best for me! I do recommend the Magic Night Cream though. It's a bit rich, but my skin looks soft, glowly and plump!

The Uptown Girl quad and the Elizabeth Violet liner are my holy grail eye products. The colors are extremely complementary on my green eyes and steer them towards a bright emerald color. Agreed on the liquid highlighter! It’s by far better than all liquids and creams out there for older skin. I haven’t had any issues with the applicator. I squeeze it then let go and let some of it go back into the tube. That way, I always get the right amount. Hope that helps!

I am obsessed with Magic Cream! Maybe you do not like it because you do not have wrinkles! I was fighting my forehead wrinkles with so many luxury brands like Chanel, Dior, Kate Somerville etc! And after just 1 use I saw improvement and bought myself a jar! It is pure magic! Every day they less visible and my face skin just look lifted and plumped! Maybe just try it again when you older!
