I’m on my third bottles of Naturium Alpha Arbutin and Naturium Tranexamic acid which has kojic acid and licorice root, hasn’t worked on my dark spots yet. On third bottle. I do use Timeless Vit C in the morning.

Thank for the question. A less is more approach would be ideal. An option can be to gradually incorporate them slower into your routine, not all at once. Or give a trial run for each of these and give it about 6 weeks to see if there are any results. Vitamin C serum in the morning.

Hi Dr.A, I'm a new subscriber , I'm a 52-year-old woman and I really appreciate how you explain each product and how to use it! I have recently incorporated actives into my skin care, however I'm not exactly sure in what order to use them at night (I only apply at night) retinol 0.3% niacinamide 5% and ceramide barrier serum and recently I purchased "the inky list"tran examic acid serum 2% (which I haven't started yet lol) so order and frequency is what I'm not sure of! Any help is appreciated, Thank you!(Oh I almost forgot, I picked up faded by Topicals, And I've only tried that on a few spots, I have hyperpigmentation and hypo pigmentation / acne scars mostly on my neck large and white! Sorry if this is such a long-winded message

Thank you so much for being here and subscribing. I hope I can help! So with the products and ingredients you mentioned, this is one way to go about it. The general rule is to layer skincare products from thinnest to thickest consistency, with active treatments applied before moisturizers. At least this is what I do. 1.) Cleanser first 2.) Then the Niacinamide 5%, it should be pretty lightweight and helps to regulate sebum production. 3.) The Inkey List Tranexamic Acid Serum (2%): Use this next to target discoloration and hyperpigmentation. I like that its a lightweight consistency so it allows it to layer well over niacinamide. 4.) Then the Retinol 0.3%: Apply a pea-sized amount after the serums. 5.) Last should be the Ceramide Barrier Serum: Finish with this to lock in hydration. In terms of frequency, For the Niacinamide 5%: You can use it twice daily (morning and night). For the Inkey List Tranexamic Acid Serum: Use once daily at night but not on the days you exfoliate. For the Retinol 0.3%: Start with 2-3 times a week at night, gradually increasing frequency as your skin builds tolerance. You can avoid using it on nights when you use tranexamic acid if you have sensitive skin. For the ceramide Barrier Serum: You can go ahead and use it twice daily (morning and night). I hope this helps.

Hello, Dr. Arsalan Aspires I’m always thrilled to watch your videos every day-they’re incredibly informative and have really helped guide my skincare journey. Could you please let me know if it's safe to layer the La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Dark Spot Serum with a vitamin C serum OR Vitamin C serum with Anua 10% Niacinamide+ 4% Tranexamic Acid Serum, Ceramide? Regards
@ArsalanAspires
@ArsalanAspires 4 ай бұрын
Should you use the vitamin C serum in your routine as well, it is best to incorporate the Vitamin C Serum in your AM routine and the Mela B3 Serum in your PM routine. Same goes with the Anua 10% Niacinamide+ 4% Tranexamic Acid Serum.

Eucerin Duel Serum with Thiamidol. Thst Minimalist Alpha Albutrin serum has 4-Butylresorcinol. 4-But is hard to find in a product, but it may be more powerful than Hydroquinone.
