I bought the Remington Balder Pro Rx5 and absolutely LOVE it! I've had it for 6 months now, and no negative issues whatsoever. Easy to use, easy to clean and I can shave anywhere at anytime. Not as close as a blade, but totally acceptable as far as closeness is concerned. Great video! Thank you for your opinion.

Hi Jason, Great videos and reviews. I understand you focus on different variables for your ranking. However, if you must focus only in “closeness of shave”, which one would you choose? If it is not in your current ranking, do its closeness really make the difference compared to the ones in your ranking? In your web page you mentioned Andis ProFoil Lithium Shaver. Is that the one? Thank you!
@shavingadvisor6 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. I am actually going to update the Web page and only include dedicated head shavers (I want to keep it very focused). Between the Remingtons and Skull Shavers there is not much difference in closeness. I find the Pitbull Gold gets closer more comfortably than others. The Andis does get very close and similar to the best head shavers I have mentioned, but it does not have the obvious ergonomics, which makes it best suited for fades. Most facial shavers will shave the head fine, too, and the higher end shavers do a great job--but I think they are best when facial shaving with electric shavers is a must. Hope that helps. 👍

Great video, I've been using skull shavers for years now. I had a bad experience with the Pitbull after it only lasted 13 months before it completely died on me and Skull shaver wouldn't replace or repair it. I then started using the cheap £15 eBay electric shavers with the skull shaver blades but Skull shaver changed the head fitment design so I went back to using the original Skull shaver brand as their blades are fantastic. Im using the Skull shaver palm at the moment (with the larger Pitbull 5 blade heads) and it's fine but I think I'm going to try the Remington rx7 after seeing this.

Thanks for sharing your head shavers journey. The Palm is not a bad shaver and cheap enough. The RX7 blades are not as comfortable as the Skull Shaver brands, but I have found it a decent shaver.

I have always used clippers to cut my hair, but have recently been looking at switching to an electric shaver, so glad i've found your channel. My main question would be, which is best for comfort? Also, something that's rarely mentioned, I quite a few moles on my head, are electric shavers ok with these? Thanks in advance. Keep up the good work, your a god send for people like me 👍

Thanks for your kind comment. The Skull Shaver Pitbull is most definitely the head shaver I have found most comfortable. You might want to look at the video I made live yesterday that compares the Skull Shaver with a Remington head shaver as I cover the comfort factor clearly in that and the blades. Your moles should be fine with an electric head shaver as the blades don't slice like a manual blade. Keep us posted on how you get. Thanks

Alright so Im a little lazy at shaving..... I tend to let me sides which is still pretty think get to long. Of course I havnt found a good maintenance shaver that Id just automatically do daily. The other "amazing" shavers I bought in the past just pull and tug at those hairs so I end up dissappointed and throwing them away going back to my razors. Im interterested in the pit bull gold. Has anyone tried on thicker hair and can confirm that it can cut through those thicker areas without all the pulling, tugging and getting stuck?
@shavingadvisor6 ай бұрын
They won't cut longer hair, and they are not intended to. It's best to shave with at least the max length of a trimmer (or hair clippers without comb), or it takes way too long. A suggestion is getting a trimmer like the Remington -- shavingadvisor.com/hair-clippers/remington-hc4250/ . It's not that expensive and trims down -- buzz cut style- - very fast because of the wide blade system. You can then choose to use a Pitbull head shaver after to get a close shave or keep the 0.5mm, or like me, you can switch from a very short buzz cut one day to completely shaved another day. You will run into issues shaving hair too long with the Pitbull .

Hello mate, just wanted to ask if you've tested any good shavers that actually leave a bit of stubble? Similar to what you get from just using clippers with no guard. I'm after a rotary shaver for the convenience and the fact that it captures the cut hair. Any suggestions would be really appreciated, cheers 👍🏻
@shavingadvisorАй бұрын
There are no trimmers or shavers that leave a stubble, although head shavers are not as close as a manual razor. Have you ever tried the Remington ShortCut Pro (Quickcut and Quickcut Pro --outside the USA)? They are great trimmers than are palm held and leave the hair the same as clipper length without a comb, but you still have to clear up the hair debris. They are super fast at trimming. You can see reviews for them on my website. The OneBlade is great for the stubble effect, but it takes too long to head shave with. Hope that helps a little!

I've used skull shaver fr 5 months now and the battery sucks , I can't even get one hair shave out of it noe as to be charge straight away, I use a baby bliss to remove all my hair and that's close , then I finish with a skull shaver , but it just runs our I would not Recommend this shaver

I have used two Pitbull Gold shavers in less than two years and the power heads have gone bad. I'm done with Pitbull.

Thanks for sharing. Do you mean the blade heads had a problem (i.e., went bad)? I own all of them and seem to have been lucky and they all still work.
@sarsar51893 ай бұрын
To be clear, the power heads are what went bad.

@@shavingadvisor I really liked the shaver when it worked. The 2nd power head is still under warranty, but I refuse to pay for the return shipping,. I now don't trust the quality of the product and feel I would be throwing good money after bad. I will look for another brand.

@sarsar5189 Ohh I see. They are USB types and are easy to replace.
@shavingadvisor3 ай бұрын
@sarsar5189 Yes, you have to pay the shipping, which is not great. It's hard to find any head shaver that lasts for many guys. It could be one of the Remingtons last better for you as I have had less reports (not zero) on them stopping working etc. Even worse reports on some of the others. I wish you luck on your next shaver anyway, and if you find something great, I would love to hear back.

My Baldie Pro worked GREAT until it didn't..lasted about 5mos before it started acting wierd and then died!! Sent emails to Groomie, and guess what? You're correct no response...but they kept shipping blades for a shaver that no longer works...even after cancelling my subscription.

All electric head shavers have the potential to fault, but not honoring or even replying to returns/replacements is something I can't get my head around. This is one reason I am almost ready to recommend none other than the Remingtons, as I know they honor the warranty period. Sorry to hear about your poor experience. Thanks for sharing!

What's wrong with the Groomie?
@shavingadvisor4 ай бұрын
Here is my full review on the Groomie head shaver shavingadvisor.com/electric-shavers/groomie-baldiepro/ . I also have a video on it. The bottom line is that the others mentioned in the best head shavers video are better.

Pitbull is rubbish the battery dose not last absolutely pants

That's unfortunate. It happens with all electric head shavers on occasions, unfortunately. How long did you have it until the battery died? Have you returned it for a replacement yet? Thanks for sharing!

Yep, mines just died after a couple of years. Didn't even use it that much

So the Groomie is no good?
@shavingadvisor6 ай бұрын
I wouldn't say it was no good, but it wasn't as good or as comfortable as others. This is my review that might help with more detail -- shavingadvisor.com/electric-shavers/groomie-baldiepro/

I just got my Groomie and it did a much better shave than the last two I've owned.

@Mexi_Khan That's great. Which other two head shavers did you use before the Groomie BaldiePro? Thanks for sharing!

I’m returning the Groomie after 2.5wks of use. This past week my Groomie started shaking pretty erratic while shaving and wasn’t as smooth during the shave as it originally was upon delivery. The shaver itself was operating like a massager (pouncing up & down) and the motor became extremely loud while moving around during use, although it was still shaving hair. Then this morning, it actually was slowing down and dying upon use despite being fully charged. When I removed the blade portion to inspect, I saw that one of the circular rubber pieces where the spinning portion affixes to the blade attachment was out of place.
