Hello, if anyone can help that would be great. Does anyone know where I can get the replacement springs for the shaver? I took the shaver off to clean and 1 spring fell out and I can't see it anywhere. I've only just bought it and Remington said they don't stock the part. Thanks in advance.
@shavingadvisor2 күн бұрын
@SaqMatador Damn. I can't think what spring came out. The best company to try is Remington, but you said you tried them. I think it is best you return it for a replacement from where you purchased it or Remington.
@SaqMatador2 күн бұрын
@@shavingadvisor Thanks for the quick response. There are 2 very small ones underneath the coils which I'm presuming are for the flexibility etc. They are opposite each other under 2 of the coils. Best way I can describe it 😞 Remington's response was a bit meh to be honest. Never even mentioned to me to return it etc.
@shavingadvisor2 күн бұрын
@@SaqMatador I would return it honestly. You should not have to get parts if you have not long had it.
@shavingadvisor2 күн бұрын
@SaqMatador If the spring it part of the blade system, which it sounds like it is, then the other option is to but a new blade replacement. However, you are entitled to a replacement head shaver.

Recently purchased one and had my second head shave today. WOW, what a shaver. Really put it to the test today and shaved after a week off hair growth and it was just stunning. Such a great shave. I did get a bit of a redness on my neck the first time when I started the shave at the top and moved back but this time I started at the back with less pressure and it was so, so much better. No itch or burn. Perfect Shave. And only took about 5 minutes. (never used the turbo at all) 😊👍🏻👍🏻💯

Thanks for the review, ive been using the RX 5 for around 3 years, im on my 2nd one as the first one packed in and my 2nd one is making some funky noises now. I've found the RX 5 didn't cut very well unless i used it wet with shaving foam. I think this RX 7 will be next for me after watching this.
@shavingadvisor9 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. Some users do get along better wet shaving like yourself. I liked the upgrade to the RX7, but there is no difference in closeness, etc. Longevity and closeness of shave are the biggest issues with any head shavers. Thanks again for your experience and good luck with your next shaver.

I have will have some more videos coming up on head shavers during 2024, but most I doubt before even getting them, although I will put up the Pitbull Gold Pro and Palm, which are others I like --out of all so far. Most are just becoming replicas. Thanks for letting us know, and I would like to hear how you get on with the RX7.

Ladies, after grabbing a random guy in the isle and getting his opinion on this and another three head electric shaver, I choose this one because he Saud some of his friends really like it. Finally. The search is over. I went home and immediately dry shaved my legs. Both legs from knee to toe. Two minutes tops. Not quite as smooth as a razor, but pretty darn close. Every woman needs a shaver like this one.

@shavingadvisor10 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear about the neck burn--it is common at first. This should stop after a few shaves and often happens while the skin adjusts to a new type of razor. You could do a couple of wet shaves with cream, soap or foam and then return back to dry shaving. Glad all is good with the shaver otherwise.

Hi mate. The only but constant problem I've always had with Remington products is the lack of replacement blades you mention in the video. They are hard to get a hold of and once a product gets discontinued they are even harder to get. How did you cope with that issue?
@shavingadvisor4 ай бұрын
Yeah. Replacement blades, as I mentioned on the website, are the biggest challenge. This almost had me not recommending them. The RX7 blades are available at Argos at the moment. My fallback is contacting Remington, which I did when I first bought and reviewed the RX7. Remington was willing to send them out even while that was not shown as available on the Remington website. Hope that helps!

It will shave the face, but it's not best suited. A higher end facial shaver will do better at both, but ideally, using both shaver types are better. Has a lot to do with ergonomics, among other things. Thanks!!

Thanks for the video. I have generally been maintaining a buzz cut, but I'm thinking of shaving regularly. I purchased a Braun Series 9, but was actually not impressed. Everything was fine, but for whatever reason, it would miss hairs. I think all of my gray hairs, which must be more flexible and not poke up into the foil as well. I'm hoping this style of shaver might do better in that regard. Are you able to get close to your ears without needing a touch up from another shaver? How many days growth can this unit handle? I would preferably shave twice a week.
@shavingadvisor Жыл бұрын
You should get a better job done with a rotary head shaver. Around the ears can be tricky, but push them back and be prepared to line up your sideburns with a razor. I always shave now with no more than a trimmer/clipper length with no guard. They are not great on heavy growth but will do the job, slower of course. Twice is good, but use a trimmer first if possible. Daily or every 2 days gets the job done quickly with these, but every 3 days is fine. Hope that helps a little.
@justinkase1360 Жыл бұрын
@@shavingadvisor That helps, thanks! Three times a week, then. I'm trying to avoid using trimmer/clipper.

It is hard for me to be able to work out what is happening without something visual. It kind of sounds like some part is jamming when replacing the blade head. Nice review! I just got a Balder Pro here in the US for $50 and I love it. I will definitely consider upgrading to an RX-7 at some point in the future. I'm a little concerned about the "cost creep" up to $75 US. Have they really improved on the Balder Pro that much? Or is Remington just trying to re-position their profit-per-razor closer to Pit Bull's $100-200 per razor? 🙄
@shavingadvisor Жыл бұрын
Glad you are getting on well with the Balder Pro. It has not been improved lots, but as I stated on the website and video, the feel and shape of the body are improved, and with an additional runtime and a couple of other things, it was worth the extra. Now, you have the Balder Pro --I would probably stick with that as it's going to do the same job minus a few perks. I doubt Remington will produce a $100 head shaver, and at the moment, they are testing the RX7 in the UK and Europe, so they won't land a $100 shaver on you yet.

How often do i need to replace the blades if i use it 3 times a week? ( Scalp and face). Thanks!
@shavingadvisor Жыл бұрын
Remington uses a rough estimate of 6 months when used regularly. As you are facial shaving as well as head shaving, you might get a little less mileage. I would aim for six months and watch out for them starting to take longer, getting the job done, which is a sign of wear. One way of testing the effectiveness of the current blades is buy a spare head asap, then after 3 months try the new head and if you see or feel a significant difference you can choose to ditch the old blades. Good cleaning and maintenance will make them last longer and keeping the hair trimmed down to clipper no comb length before shaving. Like cartridge blades on razors they just won't perform as well when worn but will still get the job done. Have you got the RX7 yet?

I would aim for six months and watch out for them starting to take longer, getting the job done, which is a sign of wear. @kendallbond1573 You're welcome. I have the same issue --based on supporting western companies, however, while many of the products are made in China they are US, UK, etc, companies, which means China are only doing the manufacturing work outsourced to them. The ones I don't support are the Chinese makers selling on Amazon and other distribution places as these are taking advantage of the western market and making Western companies/sellers lose trade. I'm not sure if that makes sense. I think all of the head shavers I review are made in China, but designed and sold via Western companies.
