Tip :if you are playing in bedrock edition there is no sweeping attack so it's hard to kill pigmens but if you make that trapdoor hole 21 blocks deep to you can one hit pigmen and get xp and put hopper under slabs and a chest Thanks 👍

@@heyviper1238 but with those resources you can build any farm? why would you call them starter farms if you can build a large endgame farm already? depending how you play survival, you're not going into the nether quickly and without enchanted diamond tools it'll take ages to mine for iron/redstone, espescially if you're "lucky" etcetera I think a true starter farm depends on your seed, make the best with what's available to you and what your style for going forward is

Yes it does! If you got 5 beds and 5 villagers, the farm is considered a village, so the iron golems spawn on the avaliable place (the water).

Tip, put the water in last for your cow farm. When you try to put a 2nd cow in, the bobbing affect can sometimes make your 1st cow push the 2nd cow away. Just adds a little convenience to put the water in after they're in there

So if it happens to be the last one to grow to full-size, your entire farm's efficiency will tank because every other (full-grown) stalk will be waiting on it to hit its observer height before it can start growing/contributing again

@@alan-daniel all the observers are connected to 1 redstone, so if 1 sugarcane grown to full size one of the observers will activate all the redstone and activate all the piston, so its basically the same but with 1 observer

@@jelvify727 What I was saying was that it seems like using a single observer, even if it's going to activate all of the pistons, will lower the farm's efficiency because it would only be watching one of the stalks. So if that one that's being observed happens to be the last one that grows to max height (and all of the other stalks had been full-grown and just waiting because they couldn't trigger the observer), that's a lot of wasted growing time. Unless I'm misunderstanding something? Are you saying that the one observer is able to "watch" all of the stalks (I am admittedly not very experienced with redstone/contraptions)? I get that all of the pistons would be triggered when the observer is tripped, but if they're not being actively observed themselves, they could be sitting there waiting for a long time on the stalk that's being observed before their own pistons get triggered.

I knew about some of these but that sugarcane farm could be a nice upgrade from mine. I would have liked to see a dripstone lava farm in this set and is arguably one of the most essential farms as it replaces valuable coal with lava as a renewable fuel source. Only hard thing to come by is the dripstone. But if you have that and at least one cauldron (or 5 iron to make one) then you're all set.

Rather than bamboo, I made it into a kelp farm. It is far more efficient cause kelp is very common rather than bamboo and you can craft it into kelp blocks which are one of the best common farmable types of fuel.

Honestly JC Plays fish farm is one of if not thee best beginner farm. Plenty of exp and once you fish up an enchanted pole with lure 3 and luck of the sea 3 you reign in exp and books etc quick. Plus, you can get mending books, allegedly.
