🤫 5 Best Hidden Apps on Windows 10

In this step-by-step tutorial, learn about 5 hidden apps that come for free with Windows 10 that you probably didn't know about. Windows 10 includes a dictation tool that allows you to speak to your computer and you'll computer will convert your speech into text. Snip and Sketch allows you to take screenshots on your PC with either a rectangle, freeform, window, or full screen capture. You can then annotate your screenshot with a pen, highlighter, and other tools. The video editor that comes with the Photos app allows you to edit videos without needing to download any other video editing apps. The XBOX Game Bar lets you record your computer or laptop screen and include your microphone. Lastly, the Office app gets you Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint entirely for free.

I did find the snip and sketch tool myself, based on the old tool it replaced. But the Video editor is a very pleasant surprise to learn about. I wanted to have something easy to help someone with for straight forward editing.

Windows + G and the calculator conversions--all good, keep them coming. A good one is the Steps Recorder if you'd like to create manuals. I wonder all the other shortcuts we don't know about haha

Thanks. Great info. I have been loving Snip and Sketch and use it a lot when trying to show/explain things on my screen to family, friends and colleagues. I learned recently you can use it to copy anything in to other apps besides MS, too, by just clicking Ctl+V and then sometimes Enter (E.g., a Messenger text box or Facebook comment). Also the clips are kept on the Clipboard, so you can go back to an earlier clip with Win key + V (which I may have learned from you?) to grab it. So handy!! I do have a problem when I use the keyboard shortcut for S&S, instead of clicking on the S&S app, I can't paste the clip in to the app to edit it. I'm wondering if there's a workaround for this. It really saves keystrokes to just snip and sketch on the fly instead of pulling up the app.

The Snip & Sketch rectangle tool has resize handles for me. I can fine adjust the selection. Maybe I have an updated version?

Great video! How can I change the location, where video editor saves the created projects? It looks like everything is saved on “c” drive! I did a few projects and the program is not making a link to a video sequence on “d” drive but copies every sequence to “c” drive and at a certain moment my “c” was full!?
