Hey there! Just came across your video on "escooters" and I must say, I really appreciate the informative content you've put together. It's great to see someone diving deep into the world of e-scooters and discussing various aspects. As an ebike user, I recently stumbled upon a crowdfunding project for freebeat's new product, the freebeat Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike. This e-bike seems pretty promising, especially with its unique indoor recharge feature. And the fact that it combines indoor fitness with outdoor exploration is a game-changer. The top speed, front suspension, and puncture-resistant tires are outstanding features. Can't wait to see more about the Morph e-bike in future videos! Keep up the fantastic work!

I would avoid Delfast. A lot of quality issues and the bikes require a fair bit of aftermarket modification to make safe and ridable. Even factory options dont exactly fit right with the bikes. Brakes are lackluster and have a ton of problems, and most of their connected features dont work because the supported app is garbage. You can build the same bike for thousands less with better quality parts.

all the ranges are based on driving bon a completely straight smooth surface going 10 mph. once you go off road or faster. the range is immediately reduced by 50 to 70 percent. so if you even went the top speed on any of these. you'd get 50 to 75 miles max range. not worth it being limited to low speed
@Detroitblue2 жыл бұрын
50 to 70 miles is still pretty great actually. I have a bike from 2014. The Neo 29'r and it only gets about 20 miles. But what no one is mentioning is how heavy the bikes are. Not like they are easy to hang on the back of your SUV and go out of town. You really need a trailer now.

@FAFOActual2 жыл бұрын
It’s not “greener” after the massive amount of mining and production that has to take place for the batteries, there’s still the production and manufacturing of the rest of the bike. Then after all that you still have to charge it daily with electricity, which doesn’t just magically happen, and it’s most likely from coal. Even if it’s from Solar or Wind power, all of that is done with batteries and/or panels, which only work for so long and have an incredibly high carbon footprint to complete. No matter what we do, there is no way to be truly “carbon neutral”. All electric vehicles are just a bandaid for the fact that we will eventually run out of every resource. Even the sun will eventually die and take us with it. These bikes are badass though.

4a) state the weight of the bike… the volts, and amp hr and Watt capabilities. Then 4b) Use a “ Standard Weight Adult of 180 lbs… ( that’s the “ standard weight “ of an adult as used by the USA Airline industry for calculating total weight on an airliner. ..” summer weight”) 4b)…. Use a STANDARD LEVEL TRACK, COURSE OR ROADWAY…. on an agreed standard day… in meteorological terms a “ Standard Day”… is 59 degrees f or 15 degrees c, at sea level. then…… do the damn tests. Sure YMMV because your girl friend weighs more than a piano… But…. THE APPLES CAN ALL BE COMPARED…. But because battery tech is still just ( at least ) one generation short…. NOBODY wants to clear away the smoke fog and bullshit Fast? Sure…. quick… yes of course… electric motors are all torque. Range…. ???? don’t change the subject . Ps…. In the old days… Japan would hire the LIGHTEST test drivers to run their Hondas, Kaws, Suzzies and Yamaha…. Small motor rockets…. But the game was on and wide open. It was about speed… but they all played.. Power, speed and performance are now NOT the issue. It’s useful range….. and then charge time to 100%…not 80%… unless the range statements ALSO include “ range with 80% charge”

Too much money to invest in a new industry that is basically taking its baby steps. Wait ten years, new and better batteries / stronger motors with less weight and more range will become available as they get better and better. Those bikes that are top today will be mediocre in 5 years. Also we don't know if the new batteries will work with these bikes. Bad investment. Buy a cheaper e-bike and wait.
