Already have the Neotec 2. Here's my opinion : - For city riding, when we meet intersection, must look around and that's you will feel the weight. Visibility and airflow good enough. - For touring, it's perfect. You won't feel the weight anymore because you will feel comfort. Very quite, unless you put Sena, you will hear small wind noise from Sena. I guess if use Sena SRL, problem solved. Last, P/J locking mechanism is very smooth and easy to use even open/close on high speed.

Love the 'strapped' for cash comment... I personally would have said 'Don't need to impress anyone by overspending on a lid'
@raulmorell75402 жыл бұрын
I agree. But for different reasons. I first bought the C4 pro, that didn't work for me. Then I bought the neotec 2, same story couldn't get it to be comfortable for more than an hour. Even with shoei personal fitting. Then I tried the nolan and it felt like coming home when I put it on. Absolutely love it.

I love the fact your stating shell sizes as I have to go for S and XS helmets.

Thank you for the review. My opinion? - C4 2 shell sizes! The comunication system is not perfect and it does not have mesh technology - AGV The chin strap is hurting my troat a lot, really awful - Neotec II - The heaviest of them all. - RPHA 90 - It flexes like crazy, the fit is totally different when opened and closed. - Nolan - sorry communication system is very important to me, and there are only two options I'm considering: packtalk and sena 30k My pick is BMW system 7, it looses in every single category with one of the above helmets, but it doesn't have any of the above flaws.
@jamesmullen756 жыл бұрын
Weight is only a flaw if it feels heavy at speed. I can assure you that the Neotec 2 is aerodynamically superior to any of the other helmets in this review and feels incredibly light at speed as the result.

I have a Scorpion 950. All sport modular. A bit heavy, not too bad. They told me its fairly quiet, vented very well. I really like it, BUT... while it doesn't fog, I run with the visor cracked open, or wide open when cruising side streets and the like. At highway speeds, its fairly deafening. After a 7 or 8 hr run, my ears ring. This is quiet? LOL! I guess it has to be taken in context. I post this so people don't buy them with unrealistic expectations. I wanted a Nolan because you can ride with the chinbar up, but it is made of thermoplastic so... I took a pass. Modular helmets do have a lot to offer, but they are typically heavier and noisier. Things to consider.

We recommend wearing earplugs with every helmet, quiet doesn't mean it won't hurt your ears!

Im just looking at a modular 2023. How does the rpha hold up against the Schuberth C4 ? Ive read a few comments that say the C4 had problems ?
@LS-qt1dp6 жыл бұрын
Debating between Nolan and shoei had the n104 and the original neotec dropped the neotec thought I’d save money and buy rpha max...not happy did they move the chin strap on Nolan or is it still super tight against the throat?

Thank you for the concise information, very good video. I was wondering where does the Shark Evo-one 2 fit on this list? Thanks.
@FortaMoto6 жыл бұрын
You are very welcome! The Shark Evo-One 2 is a quality helmet, but it does score very low on noise reduction. He is special because of it's full modular mode, but the build quality feels a little less solid than the 5 helmets used in this video. However, if we did a top 10 - it would definitely be in there ;)

Good videos and they would be so much better if the intro music was the same volume as everything else. When I can hear you, the intro burst eardrums.

Thnx for your feedback, I'll put the volume of the intro down next time ;)

So i'm watching this in july 2018, meanwhile the Caberg Levante has come out, how does it compare to the Shoei Neotec II ?
@FortaMoto6 жыл бұрын
Caberg Levante hasn't come out yet, because of a production issue he will be expected at the beginning of 2019. However, looking at the pre-production model of the Levante the Neotec 2 will still be a better choice if you have the budget available.

It´s always the same with helmet reviews, the BMW System will never appear as they´re sold only by BMW. I´ve had the Shoei Neotec, the Shuberth C3 and the BMW System 6 and in my experience the System 6 was the best, it´s very cleverly designed and very compact when open. Best quality goes for the Shoei though, it´s built like a tank and much more durable.

Please mention which head-shape the helmets fit. I cannot use 95% of the helmets on the market, because i have a very oval head. I only found: the "Shoei Neotec II" and "X-Lite X 603" fit my head.

Should be possible, you'd just have to place the module a little more to the back of the helmet.

Well, then your helmets are the 5 Best of YOUR collection and choice and not the 5 Best having been tested. Nevertheless, Shoei, AGV are in, BMW definitely is missing.

Very true indeed! If we did have BMW helmets in our collection we may have included one of them in this comparison video. However, we are a dealer and we do not carry out any impact tests. The line-up and verdict are both decided through opinion, experience and fact. We're always open to suggestions and interaction, so thank you for commenting :).
