Scorpion belfast is one of the quietest helmets I ever wore! (Kawasaki Z900)

So it's Schuberth J2, not C5, as told in timecode and description. Wish there was some less costy helemt with the same chin bar... Very rare thing. Once there were Nolan helmets with a bar, but these too were expensive.

Like that Shoei. Own the RF-1400, and the GT-Air 3. Not sure I’d be comfortable with that lack of overall facial protection though. Liked your flip over helmet review. May pick up one of those.

I have the Advant - X and I was suprised to see that the other modular helmets did not flip back. I would not buy a modular helmet without flip back.

Good review! Luckilly i have the “old” Glasterr and weights only 1100-1200gram. We have “Personal Fitting” from Shoei in Holland. They measure your head, put it in PC and then they have the adjustment. Then try and fine tune this with different pads which is best for you. After that they put it in place and fits your Shoei as a glove!! it cost €30 extra when you want it at the moment you buy the helmet. After its double this. Today I tried a Concept X….HEAVY, and I can’t get open the vizer!! Back on the shelf

Right on! And these are our picks for the remainder of those 11 months (and 15 days). We can't see into the future, so any new, more impressive lids will be shown in the favourites for 2026.

I have a more oval head shape and owned a Neotec II and and the Advantage X at the same time. The Neotec II was extremely comfortable I have a Shoei head it seems. However that said I always grab the LS2 when I ride. It’s definitely comfortable (just not like the snug, soft quilted feeling of the Shoei). The flip back option is just awesome, and I do tend to prefer Cardo.
@Hookmeister6 күн бұрын
I should have added that after watching this video my curiosity is peaked regarding the AGV. The air flow looks good for closed helmet riding, it’s suited for my oval head, and I like its more Cardo friendly. But currently I ride with the LS2 Advantage with Cardo LS4, and the latest Shoei Hornet for adventure and off road riding.

I give the AGV Tourmodular a solid 9. Light, true to size, nice feature set. The icing on the cake is the Insyde comm system. Install is pretty easy, everything is hidden, and it's Cardo.....

For city riders or people who ride their helmet usually in closed mode, all these helmets will do fine. For someone like me who rides on country roads at 80-100km/h with an open helmet most of the time, the LS2 is a blessing and imho the ONLY one that works for me.

Yeah, HJC RPHA 91, BMW SYSTEM HELMETS NOT ON THE LIST... NOT CARRYING IN YOUR STORE?
@FortaMoto6 күн бұрын
We can only include lids that we actually sell. I'm afraid only BMW dealers are allowed to sell BMW helmets. We do have the RPHA-91, though. It's always a very tough decision to put together the line-up, but the RPHA-91 is definitely a great lid.

56cm does not translate into a small helmet, from Any manufacturer.
@FortaMoto29 күн бұрын
Are you having a giggle? Virtually all helmet manufacturers have 56 down (or 55-56 if you want to be precise) as size small.
@metalsadman5 күн бұрын
it does if the shell size and padding are correct, I can't fit on same long oval head shape.
@tomekvilmovskiy6547Ай бұрын
In measurements i have 57cm, which is "M", but I can't use the most "M" helmets (except offroad ones) and totally fine with "L". So the shape is VERY important. Also, i had one helmet, that was too loose in "L" size and normal in "M", so i got "M". But after a hour of riding my ears were starting to ache, if ignore - all the head was aching soon. So, make sure the edges of ears are loose under the lining. In most helmets it's that way.
@metalsadman5 күн бұрын
shell shape is diffinitely important, I'm in between 55-56 and always wear small, LS2 explorer carbon was too tight because it is long oval, my arai tour x-5 was also tight but good thing they have removable padding to adjust the fit, klim krios pro was the most comfortable for my head. Ordered another arai x-5 though lol, the klim is just too expensive in duties for me.
@tomekvilmovskiy65474 күн бұрын
@@metalsadman so, you grinded off some foam under the padding? or modified padding?
@useless274Ай бұрын
it's just garbage that they don't help/support cardo. sena absolutely sucks - but even aside from that we need to be compatible with our buddies more than anything. they should make an adaptor for cardo systems too..

Would be better to review lighter colour as in black it’s difficult to see the lines of the helmet. Good info on intercom as I’m thinking of installing but at that price and poor music audio quality I’m not so sure now.

The only colour provided to us by Shoei at the time was the glossy black one. We do prefer to show nice designs when possible :). Good luck with your choice and ride safe!

What balaclava are you wearing or do you recommend with a modular?
@FortaMotoАй бұрын
This is just a simple REV'IT! neck collar/tube. I wear it mainly to keep flies out of my mouth when riding with the chin-bar up. Any simple neck tube or balaclava will set you on your way, though.

I completed a 4600km trip with the Neotec 3. Overall, it was a solid helmet. However, it is awful for wind noise when compared to my Arai RX7-V Evo - I wear airplugs with both helmets.

No sun visor still. No X5 for me
@BachsRides25 күн бұрын
No Arai will ever have a sun visor and never has. This is not a surprise. And they're not really needed with a dark lens.
@metalsadman5 күн бұрын
@@BachsRides they probably have photochromic visors too, I have the photochromic pin lock on mine but it doesn't darken much, although it helps with UV light coming in the helmet. I just can't go with dark lens on this when riding in the night.
