10:50 How to Build an ETF Portfolio
Dividend-paying exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have been growing in popularity, especially among investors looking for high yields and more stability from their portfolios. Monthly dividends can be more convenient for managing cash flows and help in budgeting with a predictable income stream. These products give greater total returns if the monthly dividends are reinvested.
There are many options for monthly dividend ETF funds offered by the major firms, BlackRock, BMO, TD Asset Management. High-dividend ETFs offer a cheap, easy way to add an extra stream of income to the portfolios of retirees and new investors.
Investors looking for regular income often lean on dividend stocks. An effortless way to harness stocks that make regular payments is to purchase dividend exchange-traded funds. Dividend ETFs offer a simple and straightforward solution to getting exposure to a specific investing niche.
A dividend ETF can contain a selection of stocks that offer broad market exposure, or that focus on certain sectors based on industry, company size or region. Dividend ETFs, like all ETFs, trade like a stock throughout the market day, whereas mutual funds trade after each market close.

Thank you for the review. After researching covered call ETF's and other more conservative Canadian based dividend ETF's my biggest concern is the erosion of Capital. For someone in the drawdown stage how does one look at ETF factsheets to confirm long term stability?
@DanishGhaziCPA
@DanishGhaziCPA 5 күн бұрын
You’re welcome! When evaluating ETF factsheets for long-term stability, especially during the drawdown stage, here are some key aspects to consider: Expense Ratio: Lower expense ratios can help preserve capital over time. Performance History: Look at the ETF’s historical performance to gauge its consistency. Dividend Yield: Check the yield to ensure it aligns with your income needs. Holdings: Review the ETF’s top holdings to understand its exposure and risk. Risk Metrics: Analyze metrics like beta and standard deviation to assess volatility. Hey, being a Muslim, shouldn't u b investing in businesses that don't necessarily make their money from riba (like banks)....would increase your viewership if u made a video shoing how to earn good dividends on halaal stocks, perhaps?
@vikaran2hot

Haha hey being a stupid, u should get off the KZbin and also internet because it is not halal. Morons being morons
@DanishGhaziCPA

Hi, thank you for your comment. I appreciate your perspective and suggestion. I understand that some Muslims may prefer to invest in businesses that are compliant with Islamic principles, such as avoiding interest, gambling, alcohol, etc. There are some ETFs that cater to this niche market, such as the iShares MSCI World Islamic ETF or the SP Funds Dow Jones Global Sukuk ETF. These ETFs screen out companies that are involved in activities that are considered haram, or forbidden, in Islam. However, not all Muslims share the same views on what constitutes a halal or permissible investment. Some may be more flexible or lenient than others, depending on their personal beliefs and interpretations of Islamic law. Some may also consider the social and environmental impact of their investments, such as supporting renewable energy, health care, education, etc. Therefore, I do not want to impose my own opinion or judgement on what is halal or haram for other Muslims. I respect the diversity and freedom of choice of my viewers, and I try to provide them with a variety of options and information that they can use to make their own decisions. My video on 5 best ETFs for monthly dividends is not meant to be a religious or moral advice, but rather a financial analysis based on objective criteria such as yield, performance, risk, diversification, etc. I hope this clarifies my position and intention. I welcome your feedback and constructive criticism, and I thank you for your support and interest in my channel. If you have any questions or suggestions for future videos, please let me know. And don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more videos on tax and financial topics. Thanks for watching. 😊

Terrible picks. Too low of yields. Zwb 7.5% Bmax 9.3% Call 12.5%
@DanishGhaziCPA
@DanishGhaziCPA 5 күн бұрын
It's important to look at the total return, not just the yield. A high yield can still result in a negative total return if the investment loses value. Total return includes both the income from the yield and any gains or losses in the investment's value. So, a lower yield with a positive total return can be a better investment.
