I’m in Canada and bought a Canyon online last year. Canyon ships directly from their factory in Germany. You pay the price online, then it’s shipped. Once arriving in Canada customs holds the bike until you pay the appropriate tax for your province plus import duty. After this is paid UPS takes it from customs to wherever the hell you might live. Ontario tax 13% on a 5000 bike plus $700 import duty. So if you’re buying a $1000 bike, paying $700 more just to bring it into the country….. might be a bit of a shock. They built a nice bike though.

Co-Op 2.1 DRT. $1400 MSRP but you get right around $150 back in dividends, which puts you in the $1250 range. It has every upgraded part and criteria that you have mentioned in this and previous videos if not more/better with incredible parts on there and it is an absolute monster on the trails. Also, they are available right now, as I type with an estimated arrival time of 3 to 4 days. Just saying.

Excellent. I'm thinking about the 275 Fathom and this video put it alongside the other options. They are all good. Here in the UK we might also consider the specialised Chisel HT comp and the Whyte 905 - perhaps a few hundred dollars more expensive to be fair.

Great group of bikes. I tried to buy one of the bikes you mentioned on your last budget roundup and had a first hand experience with the shortage that you mentioned. I definitely recommend the secondary market (aka sites like PinkBike) to pick up a used but good condition rig. Obviously different price points, but that's my question...for someone just getting in and wanting to find out if this is something I really want to invest in, is the Lava Dome a good enough bike to really enjoy the world of mountain biking? Also, I'm 5'6" and got a small frame and it's super playful and handles jumps and cornering like a boss! If you're in between sizes like myself(on the big side for a small frame, smaller side on a medium frame in my case) get the larger frame for a more balanced, chill, two wheels on the ground riding style or the smaller frame for that in your face, in the air, fun as hell ride. You can always do both types of riding anyway on either size, just sharing my experience. Good luck man.

@CobraKyle3 жыл бұрын
Not a terrible bike at all. It uses a Rockshox Judy fork which is a bit more XC focused and only 120mm of travel. That only matters though depending on what type of riding you want to do. The seat tube angle is also kind of slack by modern standards, so may not be the best pedaling position for climbing. If the SE Trail 3 was $200-$300 cheaper than I would be more inclined to recommend, but for $1,500 I think there are better options.

Under $1,500 is under $1,500 whether it be $200 or 9 cents. Luckily I have a whole playlist covering bikes in different price ranges. Here's one to get you started: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpPPk4hjnMSdn6M

Why are you lying why are you showing me bikes over $1,500
@CobraKyle3 жыл бұрын
At the time of filming all of these bikes were priced under $1,500. I don't control the industry pricing, so if some are over $1,500 now, you're gonna have to take it up with the manufacturer.
