You can never go wrong using a good ole bomber lure! When they are hitting the small fish I put a creme on that looks like a typical small baitfish. Action is great and the snook destroy them. I always keep a few with me.

Bets speck rigs white 1/4 ounce. Have caught hundreds of snook on them. Simple design but very effective jig.

I've been coming down to the Bonita Springs area for the last three years loving the salt water fishing. Caught a small snook a few years ago at barefoot beach and been hooked ever since. Lost a big one at tigertail last week about 15 lbs I'd say so dissapointed. I did manage a nice 5 pounded and a couple ladyfish awesome fun. Just wondering where are the best places in this area are??? I fish from shore, no boat, and come down early May. Also what size flair hawk jig do you prefer???

Try a walking topwater to make some noise and once you find them I'd suggest flairhawks or NLBN lures.

I throw my jigs on a Lexa 300 with 50lb braid it works great and can casts mile with the proper rod just have to set the drag pretty heavy

Most of the same baits apply to the flats. The only factor I would really change is the size of the lures/jigs. The 4in spotless works great on the beach/flats. Spro jigs makes really nice Bucktails that highly resemble pilchards. The glass ghost x-rap in smaller size is one of my favorite baits to throw as well. Yo zuni crystal minnow as well. Anything in particular you would want us to cover?

Mainly night time or low light conditions, such as *first light" or dusk. During the day I would fish a swimbait or some type of plug, such as an X-rap

I know it's super late. But you can find flair hawks in most tackle shops in Florida on the west and east coast. Stay away from the cheap brands stick with first light jigs the hooks on other jigs will bend out on you trust me.
