definitely agree with ND having the best community and the campus student body size! The culture here is so special

I graduated in 1972, the last all-male class. Notre Dame has changed like night and day in so many ways since then. I lived in Zahm Hall for four years, and I agree with Jordan about the sense of community and the dorm life. I was in a triple my freshman year -- the whole campus was crowded then. I ran with the track team. Academically, Notre Dame is so much better now than in my day. I could never get in now. I was happy to graduate and leave to the real world. Nevertheless, Notre Dame opened several very important doors for me during my career. The alumni network is truly impressive.

Was Zahm Hall a Zoo when you lived there? For a very long time the dorm had a bad reputation because of the immaturity of its residents. The elevator back then was a notorious place to get fresh with an unsuspecting date. Recently everyone was booted out because of the overt defiance and numerous infractions.

But my favorite thing about Notre Dame though is the fact that there's no Greek Life at that place, which is ABSOLUTELY A GOOD THING! Go Irish baby!

As a Freshman, I lived in PE, so Stanford was our “brother hall.” After the Angers program, I moved to Lyons, where I was my last two years. Great memories, amazing school. Go Irish!

Another great vid by the man himself!!! I have a few quick questions, I plan on getting involved in a lot of the interhall sports, so I was wondering how long a “season” or scheduled games last. And I was also wondering if interhall spike ball is a thing yet, also are there fees etc. associated with them?
@Jordanwalker174 жыл бұрын
A "season" is usually about a month to 6 weeks depending on the sport and playoffs. There are some sports like bowling that are one night thing. Interhall spike ball is a part of Interhall Field Day which includes Tug of War, Spike-ball, and Bag Toss/Cornhole) which is a one day tournament in the fall. There are some fees associated with some of the sports, for example hockey requires certification from USA Hockey which was about $50 but most of the sports have no fee or a very minimal fee, like $5 or maybe $10.

Hi! Since Notre Dame is a pwi, does that make it harder for you to connect with other students? I'm also poc and that's one thing I'm worried about.

Curious, I have been watching "Inside the Garage" with four football players, none of which are seniors, and they live off campus, which is contrary to what you said about all students having to live on campus until their senior year. Are football player treated differently? And hopefully you are doing well with your bone morrow transplant.
@Jordanwalker173 жыл бұрын
That is a very good point… they recently changed the rules so you only have to live in the dorms for 4 semesters, so juniors can move off campus.

How is ND for diversity? And for non catholics?
@Jordanwalker174 жыл бұрын
Diversity wise, ND can do better. I feel like they have been better in recent years but there is still a long way to go. And for non Catholics, I feel that ND is still a welcoming place for all! Theology is required to graduate though but everyone at ND is so welcoming and accepting of others, from my experience.
