Buell rules! Imo, you must save the fourth Veteran mission for John, there's a nice tribute to Arthur in the beginning and Buell in a way is kind of a posthumous gift from Arthur to John. The Rose Gray Andalusian is boss too, Gunsmoke is a cool name for him/her.

The only weakness stealing horse from stable is you can’t retrieve any stowed animal skins and carcass

You can get strawberry roans at chap 2, also get buel when arthur encounter the old guy in story

Better version of the wild bay is the tiger striped mustang. It's found in the bottom right of the RDR1 map.

arabian was the best breed....but Turkoman will give what you need...it's fast and also brave and easier to calm...buell also best but you can't get that earlier game...I prefer as Arthur you steal gold Turko or kill old lady MFT...and as john in epilogue use Buell or...dark bay turkoman it's best choice for me...

Its Black Arabian and for MFT one of my favourite horse in the game great stats and looks good on Arthur if you don't have the Silver dapple go for the Amber Champagne after chapter 3 its a great horse

No the Ardennes is not available for Arthur in van horn stable it will only available after chapter 6.

@ziadessam8397 if you haven't triggered the crashed wagon encounter you can go to the trapper by Riggs station and save your game(more than likely will take a few reloads) then ride down onto the bridge with either a varmint rifle or bow with small game arrows so you can injure not kill an npc riding the path under the bridge so he will attack you just stay up there with your weapon aimed at the cliff straight north and eventually the Ardennes will spawn in alive, keep the pov focused toward it while you drink a miracle/health tonic and run back to where you can jump off onto the path below and go get it ride to the Strawberry stable and saddle up🫡 it can be a it of a hassle but you can get the horse in chapter 2 Instead of 6🙂

I am a little late but the Perlino Andalusian has the same stats as the Rose Grey Andalusian. What’s better is that you can get it for free up by brandywine drop
