Patched? Sand just falling when started

After a bit, the sand blocks the kelp were placed on would break, as well as the ones below. Is there any way to fix this? I'm playing on a realm, so I'm unsure if it's caused by lag, or something wrong with the farm.

You need to ensure that you turn off the machine if you are going away for more than 64 blocks.

Remade the machine. The sand stopped breaking but the kelp is not growing like in the video. Not sure what I’m doing wrong

try changing the tick speed from redstone repeater

@@spencerkirkby5803 pretty sure i built it on a chunk border. It works but the collection kind of sucks, Dosent always go into the hopper

Made it exactly as the video shows but when I turn it on, the sand blocks the kelp was placed on is ejected from the machine. Any suggestions? I’m on xbox

Try changing the tick speed from the repeater

try mud block, that should fix the problem, since mud won't fall and kelp caan grow on top of it. You can find it in the mangrove swamps biome, it's pretty easy to tell when you entered one. all the trees are half way in the water almost as it's a sinking forest

This 100% DOES NOT WORK on bedrock 1.21.3 on Xbox. The water flows straight through the back of the pistons.

You might not see this but it doesn't work in the 1.21.30 update some people can manage to fix the farm

After update 1.21.30 , mojang change how sand work. Dont do this farm again, it's not working anymore.

@@allisonlynde889 I think the fix was I made sure there was no blocks under the sand in the unextended position position

@@allisonlynde889 also ik this might sound dumb but try to build it EXACTLY how he builds it. I’m pretty sure another issue I had was I didn’t have some of the blocks he placed when I built it bc I thought it didn’t matter but it actually did

What I do is take out water, 4 sand and sticky piston. Then I put it back in the order of, Sticky piston, then sand, then water, then place two kelp on each side then break top one. This works for me, it seems like it resets the pistons or something.
