I read this book two years ago. One of the best books that I have ever read about creative living. It taught me deeply about creative living, as I decided to do writing to keep my creative living going.

Just started with Procreate and struggling to find good pen and brush setup for sketch noting. Would really appreciate a future video on this and what you found that works well..

I enjoyed the digital sketch note summary -- what's the setup/tools/apps you're using to record these?

Great content, you seem to be putting a lot of effort! Anyways, i was wondering about an offtopic subject. Even tough i am a visual learner and accumulate information trough sensory input, my thoughts are very verbal.( i can admit i have a low-grade aphantasia ) It is the same for you?

I read this book. I honestly don’t understand what the big deal about it was. I have also listened to the author speak and found that she’s a much better speaker than an author. I feel like her other book “Eat, Pray, Love” (which I never read) was mentioned way too much in this book and I honestly feel like unless the books an author writes are supposed to be sequels to one another, then they shouldn’t be mentioned because it just sounds like a marketing ploy. If I wanted to read the other book, I would have picked the other book. But I didn’t. I picked this one which doesn’t do anything which it states as it’s intended purpose on the inside jacket description. I was hugely disappointed in the content of this book especially since the description of the book sounded to be exactly what I was looking for. I also feel like this is geared towards writers, and specifically THIS writer, not even all writers in general when it was soupy to be geared towards creatives as a whole. I would have loved to hear more general examples over the personal experiences she gave because it became annoying after a while. I honestly feel like there wasn’t much magic to this book, and especially not BIG MAGIC that was happening as with every page I was waiting for it to get better only to be hugely disappointed. I had a few “yeah, I can see how that would be good to know/true!” moments, but nothing profound there. I believe one review I read said they savored the book reading it a little at a time so they could soak it up, process it and because they just didn’t want it to end because it was THAT good! I also purchased the book in hard cover because I thought it was going to be one of my new favorite books that I would highlight and dog-ear the crap out of it. After the book only taking me 2hrs to read, start to finish-in ONE sitting, I can honestly say that it did NOT meet ANY of those expectations! I would have much rather spent my time binge watched the authors speaking videos for 2hrs because I definitely got more out of the one 25 min video I did watch prior to purchasing the book (the one that convinced me to buy the book) and got more out of that than actually reading the book. I don’t like to write bad reviews, but honestly feel like this one shouldn’t get the credit that it did. I honestly do not see what the hype about it is all about.
