finally someone who actually gets it haha i'm an INTJ 5w4 (mistyped as an INFP by the test... don't know how that happened) and the stereotypes that really annoy me are 1. our emotions (exactly how you described it). We have emotions and we feel deeeeply. Expressing them is uncomfortable. Also I value my logic side more and rely more on it, but sometimes the feelings break through and i actually can be quite melodramatic (only when no one sees it haha). 2. our incapability of being nice. I have empathy and I don't like making people feel ostracized or shame them. I feel uncomfortable with managing emotions of others, but in a calm environment with one on one interactions I usually try to make it comfortable for the other person (especially at work). 3. that we are stone-cold leaders. As you said, we are quite passive. I'm mostly caught up in my thoughts and disinterested at constantly asserting myself. I do my own thing most of the time.

As a true INTJ ILI so5 myself, there are other stereotypes about INTJs which I got fed off: 1) INTJs are the villians who want to take over the world. - Even most unhealthy INTJs are much more likely to be just dreamy workaholics, nothing more. Majority of healthy INTJs are nice responsible workers, like ISTJs but with better imagination. 2) INTJs are gothic. - I agree that INTJs can like such kind of self expression for their Fi-tert and possibly Ni but it is way too one-dimensional to think INTJs can express themselves only in this way. For example, I enjoy pink color and I like bright futuristic and surrealistic aesthetic much more than gothic stuff. Moreover, a lot of other types can be gothic too, especially Fi-doms, Ti-doms. I really knew few characters who were mistyped as INTJ only because of gothic vibes. 3) INTJs need everything to be perfectly planned. - This stereotype literally contradicts the essence of Ni and Se. Actually, Si users need stuff to be very predictable and those are ones who tend to panic the most when things go not as planned. I have seen several characters, especially INTPs, ISTJs and ISFJs mistyped as INTJ only because they liked to plan a lot and couldn't cope with failing those plans. On contrary, Ni-Se users more tend to imagine the "skeleton" of what they are going to do and they solve details just in the real time, they don't actually need to know everything before, like Si-doms. Ni is literally the intuitive function, it is not conscious enogh for such level of planning as sensing, conscious function. Nevertheless, INTJs, like basically other xxTJ types, like order and some sort of logical planning simply due to the high Te.

When you are in your inner world, you are just obsessed with refining your logical systems. When I am in my inner world, I imagine things for no reason at all, I just enjoy imagining more and more stories.

@@restoftheworld7200 Kind of agree with that, but INTJs are better planners because of high Te (which makes them more goal and achievement oriented), not Ni really. However, INTPs can sometimes be somewhat rigid planners because of unflexible nature of Ti and Si's fear of unpredictable events.

I guess the top crime of MBTI system was put the INTJs as LSI, SLE SP8, Ti basis stereotypes. We can see Vincent from Collateral, Batman, Severus Snape… unfortunately MBTI ruined the characteristics and the points of the discussion about IMEs, cognitive functions and how they actually work.

ILI here. - Planning and sticking to the plans is quite hard for me, I feel trapped and bored. - I think strategicaly most of the time, and that made me miserable many times is my life as I never stopped to just appreciate things that are already here. - In my mind, I am quite empathic in my considerations and judgements. - The thing that I hate MOST is not taking others in consideration. The hard part of being ILI woman is that I had to hide myself for many years to no disturb others beliefs, as the small questions I made were a challenge in most ppls perspective. Also, loyalty is important to me, in a selfish kind of way. Because it is not about you, it is about my peace of mind that I will disturb if I do anything that goes against what I believe. And it is rare to find people that actualy value loyalty.

I'm typed as INTJ 5w6 LII but I've always had doubts that I'm really an INTJ because I'm not exactly what everyone says that an INTJ is. Like, people always says that INTJs do not procrastinate, are tidy and organised, assertive, etc but I do not relate. Always wondering if I am INTP instead, because people tend to characterise INTPs as disorganised INTJs.

As a true INTJ ILI myself, I mostly agree with you but you seem to exaggerate INTJ's ability to adapt. There, you confuse extroverted perception and introverted perception. Introverted perception doesn't really make the person adaptable, it actually makes the person to just stick inside of their heads imagining things for no actual reason in case with Ni (hence why Ni is irrational) or nostalging/circlejerk after their past experiences in case with Si.

Si Bases focus on how things make them feel according to their own subjective sensing, that’s why it’s dynamic. Ni is really your imaginative internal world that is detached from reality.

The MBTI test is flawed. The first time I took the test, the results stated I was INFP. Then I took the test 2x for a staffing agency and the results were INTJ. I know I'm not an INTJ but I use it to keep extroverts away. But I'm definitely an INFP who plans ahead and has goals which isn't strictly an INTJ trait. Plus, 99% of people have some kind of goal or at least a planner. However, I think INFPs as more of "creative planners" not "mediators" because I'll never put myself in between a fight, mend a situation, or listen to life complaints. I don't care and I'm not Maury Povich.
