Wow, straight square waves! Most of the oscilloscope videos I watch have strange-looking squares, but these are in straight line! 100% perfection for sure!

It depends on the output of the emulator. I'm sure a real Atari 2600 would look very different
@DMARrecords Жыл бұрын
Low pass filters also cause that.

They end up sounding the same. The chip generates square waves, but by the time you pass it through capacitors on the board, you no longer have output down to 0 Hz (constant voltage) so you see the rise/fall of squares, but the flat DC areas fall away.

Does anyone who follows this channel know what happened to the channel Tracker Ninja? They were a small acct which posted S3M/ IT/ XM/ demoscene etc files from the bulletin board days, complete with preserved original instrument list messages.. but now it appears they've completely disappeared. It is a very tragic loss to the whole demoscene community I think.

@@Controllerhead Memory and CPU timing actually really wasn't much of an issue, as homebrew Atari 2600 games as well as demos for the platform have no problem doing plenty of things on screen while also playing advanced music like this.
