Cost of living in Texas used to be really good before people from 49 states have moved here. We are overflowing and the cost of everything has skyrocketed. Houses that were $150,000 are now $250,000. Apartments that used to rent for $900/month are now renting for $1200 - $1500/month. We are too full and traffic is HORRENDOUS.

Been working in heath insurance since I was 19 starting as a admin assistant and never in a million would I have guessed I’d actually be working from home and I love it. I don’t have to deal with micro aggression previously dealt with my Texan very white supervisor, I started at $20 and I’m able to be here when my baby gets off his school bus. Now if only I can get past this 20 hourly I’m in there! Lol *still very thankful Lord!* 🙏🏽☺️😁

There is a difference between remote and working from home. My employer has both types. The first woman that was talking had a work from home position. She still has to be in a specific location. Either her home state or a location where that company has a location, like she said, Canada. Remote workers can bop around unless there is a conflict with the location , for example certain countries in the Middle East, or Russia, China.

I retired at 53 thanks to my husband . It wouldn't have been possible without his company stock plan because it far exceeded the 401k we both have. He is six years older than me and was sick of the day to day grind but we had no clue if our savings and investments would be sufficient, we finally went to a financial management meeting and we make all decisions for a profitable Investment and prepared a plan for our early retirement. We should have done this years ago but never considered that we might ever have enough to retire early and I thank God and my husband for the ability to do investment . We are now financially stable with everything paid for and we have a good health insurance ! Don't wait time is something we have in short supply and no amount of money will buy you more.

I have been unemployed since October, and have been searching for online work the entire time. I have updated my resume, downloaded web toolkits to find remote work, but nothing has secured me a position yet.

My advice to you is to invest heavily in updated your resume and linkedin. It may seem like a waste of money but a certified resume writer will make a huge difference with expanding your reach. Many quality employers are on LinkedIn but your resume has to be polished.

Yes it can be done! I do import/export. You must have an entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and be willing to travel and live in different countries. I work with the people in different communities to market their products abroad.
