We hit the like goal last video, so as promised, here is the Bowser tips, tricks, and secrets video! The things we’re gonna cover in this video will range from simple beginner stuff that most of you may already know, to more high level or nuanced things you might not have known about. 0:16 Up Throw combo DI (Blue lines) 3:08 Side B Damage (Platform vs stage) 4:43 Down B and Down Air Spike hitboxes 6:27 Up B Height & Mash 8:40 Firebreath tip (no flinch hitboxes)

Thank you phy i always have a hard time with down b onto ledge, i sometimes do it but im not consistent with it so now i know to not hold down. Also i mash very well with up b but i never noticed theres a blue line on Bowsers shell, now that i know this it really helps to learn that

Important to know that mashing B at the start of Up-B does give you the least amount of height but it also gives you the most horizontal movement!

Good to know! So if your more at the side of the stage it's better to mash early

Oh my god, I was *completely* unaware that each launch animation also had that particle effect! That must be why I always hear people streaming the game saying “Wow, no DI”, and terms like that. This is fucking game changing for me, and not just for Bowser, thank you for making this!

Bowser is my favorite character and I played him for eight years now :)
@Lattie90013 жыл бұрын
For the SideB thing: You do progressively more damage the lowest you land past where the jump starts. Meaning you can SideB someone off screen above the stage and land on the top platform and still do bonkers damage. It tops at *1.3 more damage after 10 meters, or 10 blocks in training mode, and that added damage does translate into more KB as well.
@phy_3 жыл бұрын
So general drop height vs peak of the move and does indeed do more KB, good to know. Thanks for the chiming in with the good info Lattie!

The UpB Timing is definetly something I didnt know! (I play Bowser for fun and was wondering why I sometimes lack the height, when other Bowser Player could recover from that)
@MisterFiasco3 жыл бұрын
If I’m online, I either won’t mash Fortress until the tail end of it, or not at all. Last thing I want if for a sudden lag spike to skip some inputs, killing the height even if I’m mashing right. Sucks I can’t go as deep as I’d like but sometimes that’s just how it be.

I think the knockback thing is just a result of less damage. If you look at the damage formula, base damage affects knockback value. So less damage would cause less knockback. I don't think it would be significantly less, though.
