I met David in 1980 in Israel when I was on holiday. We became friends and continued to keep in touch and I visited him at his home in Altrincham and he attended my wedding in 1982. I lost contact with him when I moved to Torbay. David was a lovely, genuine person. RIP.

Thank you for sharing these , Sickle Cell knocks people down but we have to keep going , it’s heartbreaking to read that Simone Kerr was stabbed by her boyfriend, it is just a reflection of some of the things women experience, Though Desmond her boyfriend has been now imprisoned, her family will still be flooded with grief when they watch this but my message to them is to look at it and remember what an amazing and beautiful person she was❤

Nora, reminded me of my grandfather...he just passed away at few weeks ago he was 98 years young...he fought in tge war...he worked all his life...raised three boys by himself my grandmother was mentally ill... and anyone who knew my grandfather there was a few things he loved in life...homemade ice cream (he was the best at making it, hunting,crashing, gardening, and his Basset hounds..he had a few..Mr. Beezly & Miss. Beezly (they were siblings both fixed) Ben and Jerry (brothers) ..Mac ..then pops..and lastly charlie..my grandfather did get remarried and they never had children but she did have 2 boys and 2 girls which they too loved my grandfather...they did help care for my grandfathers sister who has mental retardation..she could make everyone smile we all called her sossy...I never knew her real name it was always aunt sis... my grandfather lived alone untill he fell a few weeks back..and that's when he went down hill...he lived a full life and he wached his brothers die, two of his sons my uncle an my dad...his wife..his sister ..his step son..so he was ready..he lived a great life...and I'm thankful that he was only in tge nursing home for 3 days before he passed..he always wanted to be living at home..and he got his wish...rest in peace papa Aug 2023

I no right. My grandma was born in 1925, she passed away a couple of years ago, but she had some good stories and sad stories. She lost her fiancé in ww2 he got shot down and they never found his body, it devastate my grandma. But she found happiness with my grandad in the end. Her dad, my great grandad, who passed away in 1990 wen my mum was 7 months pregnant with me, he witnessed the killings of Mussolini and his mistress, he even took pictures lol. My grandma showed me them wen I was grown up, they were only small black and white pics, but omg it’s history. Yes my grandma had some good stories lol. Take care Jessica xx

First one hits home. My wife almost died due to blood loss during the birth of our second child. I remember clutching the cooler in between my two hands. I was travelling from the hospital where I got the blood from. If only I could fly so I would arrive faster. Thank God they had a supply back then. God bless them all.
