I use fajita seasoning rather than taco seasoning, or mix them half and half, in most of my Mexican dishes. When I make chili I use some fajita seasoning as well as chili powder. It’s always a big hit for me. Thanks for the great ideas Maria.

Maria, I would like to reply to the lady about the dented cans. You may use cans that have dents in them. Just as long as the dent is not rusted or open. I hope if you dropped a can in your home and it dented,you would not throw it away.

When cooking your eggs, if you put a lid on top of fry pan the whites will cook much quicker and still give you that runny yolk.

I found a deal on Hamvurgwr at my local Independent Grocery store IGA yesterday. A 4 pack of preformed patties was about 21 ounces [ 1 pound and 1/3 ]. Priced at just $3.99. I bought four packages and cooked it up. Two were cooked as Cheeseburgers, and two were broken up to become patt of several meals. It came out to be only $.19/ pound 😊😊😊😊😂 Boy Was I thrilled. And into the freezer it will go

$0.19 per ounce, not per pound. $3.99 ÷ 21 ounces = $0.19. It's $3.04 per pound. Still not as expensive as hamburger usually is right now though.

You have a few recipes i might love but all those others Mexicans meals recipes ........ me and my family can't eat that food we DONT LIKE MEXICANS DISHS SO..... Peoples taste for cilantro is actually genetic. You don't develope a taste for it. To me and my family it tastes like soap. Lol. I can't even tolerate the smell. 😊

Yup. The alkaline detection gene is what makes cilantro taste like soap. It's an evolutionary advantage which protected humans from drinking alkaline water, which would unalive them.

I know this is off-topic, but please don't buy canned foods with dents in the cans. The dents can compromise the seals and allow bacteria to enter, which can make you and your family very sick. Greats meals, though. Thanks for sharing.

It seemed odd that stores would be permitted to sell dented cans if that is the case, so I consulted our friend Google. According to the USDA: If a can containing food has a small dent, but is otherwise in good shape, the food should be safe to eat. Discard deeply dented cans. A deep dent is one that you can lay your finger into. Deep dents often have sharp points. A sharp dent on either the top or side seam can damage the seam and allow bacteria to enter the can. Discard any can with a deep dent on any seam. So, good news! Dented cans like the one in the video are ok, allowing consumers to save a little money and preventing a little food waste, wins all around.
