These photos are so cool because they're just these everyday items - often from the same perspective - that we've all seen them a thousand times. But because they're in a (high-res, super-well-lit) photograph, it begs us to take the time to stop and really SEE them. I love that.

The biggest mistake I made was quitting news photography many years ago, for a f***ing desk job. I was making no money and I was putting in 70+ hours per week - but man it was still the BEST gig I've ever had. I was really good at it. And I miss using cameras to make my living. I regret leaving the industry and if I knew then what I know now - I would have kept at it.
