The gradients are where medium format shines. Hard to see/share online, but lighting that beautiful old Ford you have will make you appreciate the format. Cars on medium format is stunning.

These photos are so cool because they're just these everyday items - often from the same perspective - that we've all seen them a thousand times. But because they're in a (high-res, super-well-lit) photograph, it begs us to take the time to stop and really SEE them. I love that.

Oh wauw, while watching, I was thinking about some things. I wouldn't be able to sum it up clearly, but then you said something. Namely the exact same thing I was thinking, the exact same thing I was feeling. Which is amazing for different reasons: you captured the feeling you felt during your energy exchange with him, with Andrew. The energy you felt coming from him, the same energy I felt, and probably a lot of other people. Thank you for this! It comes at the right moment in my life. A little reminder. Thank you!

The biggest mistake I made was quitting news photography many years ago, for a f***ing desk job. I was making no money and I was putting in 70+ hours per week - but man it was still the BEST gig I've ever had. I was really good at it. And I miss using cameras to make my living. I regret leaving the industry and if I knew then what I know now - I would have kept at it.
