❤❤five yrs ago this time of year my husband bought me a harp. It needed some work. Covid hit hard and teachers were hard to find. Christy-Lyn was my first on. Line resource. My husband had received terminal Cancer news and wanted to fulfil his promise to me. So started my journey. Now going into our 5 th yrs, silencing my harp in tears as we process him home in palative care. Our final Christmas together is the hardest to fathom. We are grateful to the entire harp community for being a big part of our lives. Thank You Christy-Lyn and Carry

I really wish I could play these, I started learning the harp last year however I have arthritis in both thumbs and finger joints, I just want to weep as I love the harp.

I am older and kinda feel I might not can do the harp. But I love them so. I just started playing a dulcimer and can do that. I found that I just kept going and my fingers got used to it.... not sure that would work with a harp... so I have not picked one to try yet.... but I really want to try so bad. I have two young grandchildren and I want them to play one. So I am leaning towards just getting a nice one and include them in the leaning.

I think you should both go for it!! There are many students learning on my website who are older and who have arthritis. Don’t let it stop you! 💕

Beautiful playing ladies! Do you use any sound editing software in particular when making your videos?
@LearningtheHarp14 күн бұрын
Yes, for most of them we edit the sound very gently 😊 For some of the music videos we’ve done a more detailed edit in ProTools, but most of the time we just do a very simple edit inside Adobe Premiere where we edit the videos.

Just beautiful.... i would like to learn to play. What are the different harps used in the music?
@戸田春男-e5t17 күн бұрын
As mentioned in the explanation of the video. Carrie played a Musicmakers Ballad 34 and Christy-Lyn played Special Edition Fullsicle Harp in Cherry, with upgraded bass strings, and, Lyon & Healey Ogden in the last song. It's fun to hear the difference between these harps.
