Hi Yet another amazing video. I have a suggestion, check out Arabic oudh fragrances. they are expensive, but pretty enticing. They come in woody, floral, spicy etc. Check out Ajmal and Swiss Arabian Btw, oils cannot be sprayed they have to rubbed onto your body.

Hi Antonio, usually rubbing your wrists together is known as "dabbing." The reason this is a bad idea is because a fragrence works off heat. Rubbing your wrists together causes friction thus causing heat. Hence, this causes the molecules in the fragrance be disturbed thus interfering with the notes of the fragrence. The notes should be allowed to emit naturally not by causing friction. Hope this helps!

Hey there love your channel. As a fellow stylist and fragrance reviewer I'd like to add something here. One the biggest mistakes is not moisturizing. Yes applyihng out of the shower helps in this area however a body that moisturized with unscented lotion is better. Plus it helps your skin out. Second fragrance should be applied to pulse points meaning both writsts, either side of the neck and if needed base of throat. Most people drastically underspray, never get the effect, and then lose interest in fragrance. The amount of the spray depends on the atomizer and how heavy you go on the trigger. Less is more. Thanks for all you do. Kevin

Hey Antonio , I don't know what is the correct word for rubbing of perfumes by parts is called but certainly I can provide you with the answer why not to rub it. Most fragrances contains alcohol in it which is volatile in nature ,also have a lower boiling pt. thus when we rub the spray with any part ,which is capable of producing heat , the alcohol vaporises quicker , resulting in lowering the fragrances and it's longitivity. Hope you might get reason . If yes let me know by an comment .
@MegamanNova7 жыл бұрын
Nishaat Alam You are saying to avoid heat on fragrances? So i need to avoid pulse points when spraying on my body? Most say to spray on pulse points because it generates the most heat from the body activating the scent. Telling people not to rub perfumes is a myth. It contradicts everything from heat and molecule structures of chemical compositions such as perfumes. You cannot see a perfume molecule let alone destroy it by rubbing your wrists. Heat? Might as well spray on the coolest part of your body.
@mailoli66176 жыл бұрын
fragrances are made of a base note, a middle note, and a top note. by rubbing your fragrance, you're going to ruin your top and middle note so it's going to smell worst. hope that helps
@pinkmuffin98426 жыл бұрын
@@MegamanNova spraying on pulse points may make your fragrance stronger but defenitly not last longer. It evaporates faster.
@HugoSantos784 жыл бұрын
@@MegamanNova You must alow the fragrance to work by it self. It is recommended to spray them in the pulse point because they are heat points on the body and they alow the fragrance to spread. What you should not do is rubbing the fragrance because it will destroid the fragrance. Is basic quimistry and should be common sense. Not because of the alcohol in fragrances (lots of them do not even use alcohol in they're composition) but really because it will destroid the molecules in the fragrance (and yes you will destroid them during the day by moving your arms and such but if you could avoid doing it why do it?)

Each scent is good for different occasions or outfits. I sold men's tailored clothing for years and believe fragrance has the ability to enhance what one wears. For some reason I find the new colognes have a metallic smell I do not like, I'm not sure what it is I'm smelling...maybe some help on this? I prefer the classic scents all around.

(works well in hotter temperature +beach day+ spicy nights) -Mont Blanc :legend (classic scent for office and professional environments) -Baldessarini: Ambré (a lovely most elegant and warm smell, leans to an Eastern taste tho. Unfortunately difficult to find) Davidoff: cool water (great scent for daily use, at home for your family and loved ones, super fresh and easy on the nose, blends nicely with fresh toned deodorants)

I use Hugo Boss Green for Spring and Summer. It's light and has a nice sweet citrus scent that isn't overpowering but subtle and pleasant. In fall I use Burberry London. It has the nice sweet berry scent with a spice to it, but nothing too heavy, but at the same time not being to light. And for winter I use Calvin Klein Intense Euphoria. It has a nice spice and wood note to it, but without being too heavy, but heavy enough to have a nice warm scent. One thing I also do is change up my deodorant, soap, and beard oil to properly accommodate each other. I've noticed people will have a several scents going at once that don't properly compliment each other and it becomes a mess. Good video, I learned a bit and I'm going to check out that site. I've had a few cologne's that I've been interested on getting because they smell good in the store, but I didn't have enough commitment to get a bottle because I wasn't sure how the scent would sit once applied to my body. I got burned once in the past where I bought a bottle because it was amazing in the store, but then after sweating a bit in the summer heat, it smelled for lack of better words off. My natural body scent didn't mend well with it after time.

Thanks for producing this video! My favorite colognes have been D&G's The One and Dirty English by Juicy Couture for Men (The Latter I'd received compliments from women on). When I bought Dirty English, I also bought the deodorant so that my scent would be consistent. Is that something that a person should worry about when buying cologne, or am I overthinking it too much? Should a man wear lighter (citrus) or Heavier (woodsy) colognes depending on season? Should I make considerations based on activity (going to a picnic/casual vs. going to work at an office)? When I'm at home and not planning on going anywhere I wear Old Spice classic deodorant and cologne because it is affordable. Usually during the holidays, places like Sephora will sell sample kits of cologne so that you can try a bunch. Most times these will come with a voucher so that you can get a bottle of the cologne you liked the best. I like to test scents while I'm at the mall using the tester strips they have, but you can't test too many at once.

Thanks for the cologne tips Antonio. This will definitely come in handy as I work on presenting a powerful presence with my scent. I'd also like some tips on how to do the same with my breath? I mean let's face it; most of the time people's breath either smells bland or just plain bad. I want to be able to have my breath smell naturally fresh as much as I possibly can - thereby adding that finishing touch to my image that will help make me stand out from the crowd. When I come across people who's breath smells wonderfully fresh; I definitely remember them. I'd like to create a positive, signature scent with my breath to compliment the cologne tips you provided in this video. Gum and mints mainly just cover-up mouth odor; they don't create a great smelling breath that's memorable, but are there any mouth washes or natural methods that do? Can you provide some help in this area? If so, it would be much appreciated Antonio.

My Favorite Fragrance is the Calvin Klein Shock and the regular zippo cologne. In addition to the recommendations in applying it, I used to sell colognes and I learned a few tricks that help me pick awesome fragrances. First... What type of fragrance do you want? Yes there are more than one, there is sweet, pure and soft. You might be wondering what these are entitle to, or mean and so. When picking out the type of fragrance think of it as The three types of cologne: -Soft which is low key to the smell but long lasting. -Pure which we can define as strong scented and long lasting as well -And sweet which is gonna be something made out of natural elements like, rose extract, etc. (These are usually hard to find and really common for women) Now, when you get a good perfume look for it to say "Eau de Perfume" which is Perfume water and it means that it is a small portion of the real thing and therefore it will last longer. On the other hand "Eau de Toilette" is not as lasting.

It doesn't break the notes. It encourages the developing of the smell, which means you lose the initial top note. I do agree it shortens the life span, however impact does vary between fragrance and individual.

+Corky_Butcher Yea its pretty simple, rubbing causes friction and friction causes heat, therefore making the fragrance evaporate faster and that causes the shortened projection period.

Nonsense talk from people who want to sound like they know something. Study a little chemistry. Nothing changes the molecular structure from mild rubbing. You're not generating that much friction to heat up the fragrance.
@granatatua8 жыл бұрын
+Drew Bee dont get mad over something like that kid. It might cause changes to the compound or something like that (i have heard), why would every perfume expert say it otherwise. I dont need to study anything to just have an opinion about something.
@granatatua8 жыл бұрын
And I have witnessed the effect of rubbing my cologne in myself, it really does hinder the projection period of the fragrance rubbed

The problem i have is the kind of problem that i think only i have.I carefully choose my fragrance and it takes me a lot of time and researching for me to select one. My main problem is that my friends always love my fragrances and as soon as i get a new one , one of my friends have to get the same fragrance as i do. It happened to me like 7-8 times , i am a male and i hate when 2 guys go out and smell the same , can't even imagine how girls feel about that. Now i have a really good fragrance , i can say the best one i had in my life and i haven't told anyone of it's name because someone will buy it if i do. My tip for you guys : Do not tell other guys what your fragrance is. (If they ask you what is the name of it , they are asking so they can buy it too). You can tell the name of your fragrance to the girls , because they love the guys that know what they are using.

Nikola Covic if You have a Sephora in your local mall, go check it out. A month ago I bought a $65 sampler kit. It had 15 sample sprays (enough to use each one 3-5 times) and a certificate to buy a regular bottle of one of the 15 samples. Check it out

Your 100% right about finding the right fragrance to go with your body scent. It took me years to find a fragrance that goes with my body scent. When I meet my girl I was into Jean Paul Gualtier because I've smelled it and I love the smell but I didn't realize when the fragrance settled and the different notes kick in and it mixed with oils produced by my skin the fragrance changes. My girl told me it didn't mix right with body chemistry and I began my exploration to find the right fragrance. Today I find that Dolce and Gabbana The One works best with my body scent, the orange and tobacco notes work just right. The best thing about having a signature scent is that your possessions begin to pick up the fragrance and people know your smell like your voice. And sorry I don't know what it is called when you do that, but know it's bad lol.

The reason why i go for a very high end fragrance for instance 'bacarrat' 240 rouge' special edition -only available from exclusive stores costing around £3000 is simply because of having a unique feel amongst family & friends ....I also like the classic woody Alfred Dunhill Edition which has a gradual build up of scent through out the day....the spicy oud scents from Tom Ford range form a very musky masculine delivery......L'goiste by Chanel continues to capture the public attention whilst the Dior Homme intense is a very warming natural skin scent......the discontinued Gucci Envy leaves the females weak in the knees...... I dare to challenge anyone with my fragrance knowledge!

No.. YSL is for the office.. Blu De Chanel is for dates but it depends .. If You wear the perfume or the toilet.

Have both of them (and the Sport Chanel) and I can use them all for anything... the issue with YSL really is the weak reformulated version. You have to spray 15 times for it to have any effect and even then it doesn't last long.

Aqua Di Gio is my scent. It took me YEARS to find " My Scent ". I've worn it for 15 ish years now, and it is the only scent I will ever wear again. Its the smell I'm known for, as an example, I once was told by a friend of mine who I had gone to visit,that after I left a mutual friend of ours dropped by, and once inside, stopped, sniffed the air, and said "Mike has been here,huh?" Its not a scent for everybody, as you have to find a scent that matches your natural smell I believe (pheromone matching or whatever? I forget what its called...) but If I had a piece of lint for every time some random person stopped me and said "excuse me, but what are you wearing?" or just plainly " you smell amazing!" then I would have a WHOLE BALL OF LINT! I wish scentbird had been around when I was on my journey of scent discovery, it wouldn't have taken me so long to find mine. So a new fragrance every month is a FANTASTIC idea, that's just long enough to figure out if that's the right scent for you. Just know when you get at least TWO random people asking what cologne you are wearing IN ONE DAY, then you've probably found "your scent" especially if those two are of the opposite sex. Even if you're still on the fence about it, I like how scentbird shows you most of the scent ingredients so you can at least narrow down what type of scents are working for you, as you can see if you are a more musky, spicey type person, or a lighter flowery or fruity type, etc. I must admit I'd never sub to scentbird, as I've found my smell, however, in theory it sounds amazing and will be recommending it to all my friends who are on their own personal journies of scent discovery, and will be giving a few sub's away as gifts to a few family members. First time viewer of your channel, and I'm about to sub and binge watch all your other videos now :) keep up the good work!

Pinaud's "Bay Rum" makes me smell like cookies - it's also so cheap that I can use it as aftershave, back of my neck, on my arms, even as a hair tonic. It isn't overpowering, even when splashed all over. People get hungry when I approach, I swear - and I bet they don't realize why. Orange extract with cinnamon sticks would probably be similar, but I haven't tried that (yet) ....

Back in the day my girl gave me one called Fahrenheit. She used to go crazy overtime i wore it, so often i did. Later on used to use one called Joop, when i used to go out allot and got more clicks asking about it than anything else and loved the scent as well but don't over do it. Hard to find though. I use a Fragrance Mist called Forever Midnight i got a long time female friend that really love and love the scent, think it came from Bath & Body Works. As for my current signature scent i use "The One" by Dolce & Gabbana which i tried out many at a Mall Store and this was the one left standing that i really love the scent. And always get compliment from it with the ladies.

One fragrance I would use more than any other is Joop, it is long lasting and even the next day you do not need to use it, as the fragrance lasts a few days unless you perspire a lot. One person could use a Cologne and it works for them, give it to some one else and it does not smell nice. I could not agree more with applying too much, as a migraine suffer some fragrances can give you an awful headache, so choosing wisely and not applying too much is the best option, as you stated it can be re-applied later if needed.

I still get a lot of play from the classics believe it or not. Old Spice, English Leather, Brut. I really don't have a favorite, or what I would call a signature scent. I get compliments with my KISS, Georgio, Lagerfeld, and I even recently tried Old Spice Wolfthorn. I've gotten compliments that it smells like cotton candy. And what woman doesn't love the smell of cotton candy? I also use Jovan Musk, Sex Appeal, and I even have good results with Bay Rum and various incense oils. I like to leave the women I encounter wonder "what's he going to be wearing next time." Keep 'em guessing. I don't like being predictable.

Because you inspire him to try out colognes; because he will emulate you. You don't want to set the example of being a smelly bum.

I remember my Dad always smelled like his colognes growing up... He literally not one time ever smelled bad. I loved giving my Dad hugs and simply being around him, many people remember these things about their fathers and etc. My father gave me a jacket years ago and despite me wearing it and smoking in it many times it still smells like him and the colognes he used to wear.
