5 color IPS salt brine bar | how to keep soap batter fluid for complex swirls | Day 26/365

Adding salt to your water blend in soap making makes a great exfoliating bar with natural skin deodorizing properties. Salt bars typically cure up faster than regular cold process bars and yield a nice creamy lather that does well in all water types. Plus, it's fun to put salt in soap, so we do the thing.
This pour is a five color in the pot swirl, which means that five colors will be in one pot before pouring into the mold. Check out the video for ways to switch up the pour to get different designs from an in the pot swirl!

Someone told me that I should have some bio at the end of my videos, so I sweet-talked a friend into writing one up for me to stick at the bottom of these things. Because I don't like talking about myself unless I'm allowed to be critical of, you know, myself. Self-deprecating, I think? Anyway. Read on for more information about me and all that jazz.
Soap & Clay is a family owned business operating in Washington State, but started out online thanks to Mrs. Soap & Clay's kickass brother and his amazing web design skills. The business was started as a tribute to Mrs. Soap & Clay's grandmother, the OG maker in the family that cultivated everyone's love for the DIY life. The studio/retail shop opened in 2017 on 6th Ave in Tacoma, and immediately began teaching soap, bath bomb, lotion, and scrub classes to the makers and maker enthusiasts of the PNW. In 2019, the pottery studio opened as well, making the soap shop a busy place full of artistic energy every minute of the day.
Mrs. Soap & Clay has been featured on Business Spotlight, New Day Northwest, and was awarded a coveted place on the South Sound's 40 under 40 list in 2019, an award given to the most influential business people under the age of 40 each year. She cried when she walked up to the podium to accept the award. A lot.

I have never tried argan oil in a soap. It's one of my favorite things to use in beard oils and balms.

Argan in soap is EXTRA. Totally not necessary for a rinse off.

Did you increase the superfat also? I normally do 8% with 30% coconut oil
