Do you have a course that I can buy? I tried the recipe and I just know along the way I did something wrong. I would love a step by step process.

Omg thank you for this. I made a evoo and coconut oil soap Sept 22nd and it's like a clay texture 48hrs later. I'll just have to wait longer I guess. 😩

Palm oil is a good and excellent product. If you care about environment then use certified palm oil coming from ethical plantations. Be careful though , you go woke you go broke.

How about 50 % coconut oil+ 45% palm oil + 5% castor oil soap recipe?

Funny how the KZbin algorithms work. I am getting ready to make a one pound 100% palm oil soap for a customer. This is due to allergies to olive, rice, and coconut oils. I have made 100% olive and I have made 100% coconut, but never 100% palm. I don't even use palm in my regular recipe (I'm a tallow girl) but I do what the customer wants, within reason. Sounds like this is going to be a nice, gentle soap for my customer.

So I have a question. Since it’s water to lye ratios, couldn’t you do the whole batch a 1:1 then separate into 3 cups and add the extra water after you’ve reached emulsion with the whole batch in the beginning? Could you do it that way??

Hey! Only if I add anything water based to it, otherwise I just preserve the big batch. Have fun!

Move over, Stephenson's... 😂. I used the 3:1 ratio with stearic... OMG so easy and the soap (MY soap) is fabulous! Hardened up so fast! Thank you! No more "rustic" rebatch whipped with water!

I’ve tried whipping it while hot and haven’t had any problem. I also melted down the paste and mixed with water in a pot on the stove on 3 and 4. Still a great end result!

Can I ask why you personally don’t recommend beginners using masterbatching? I personally as a beginner started using it about 3 months in to this journey. Is it kinda like certain techniques like layers/taiwan swirl/sculpted layers have a beginner/ intermediate or advanced level on certain techniques ? Like I am really interested to know.

I have a question. I’ve been having issues with graininess in my solid oil recipes across the board. I’ve been holding them at heat for 20-30 minutes. I’ve seen some information about how the products are cooled. One source said we need to cool the hard butter recipes down very quickly for them not to go grainy and I’m wondering if that’s true? I’ve also seen other sources say different butters need a slow cool down, so I’m way confused. Do you have any insight into that or what might help my grainy issues?

I have a question. I’ve made beard balm a couple of times. I love your recipes and have used them and like you suggested in the video, I’ve tried it with Shea and mango and some buckthorn infused grape seed. In a couple of my batches I’ve noticed after a few weeks, they get little crystal like bumps on the surface. When I rub the crystals in between my fingers they melt down but they are definitely a harder substance from the rest of the balm. I hold these heated oils at 120-140 degrees for half an hour usually but still have these bumps. I noticed in an older one the whole thing went grainy. Also making my body butter I’ve found I have to hold the oils at heat like an hour and then filter them or it gets grainy. I do use the yellow unrefined Shea and Cocoa a lot. It’s just crazy to me that it’s such a long process and I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong.😑?? Help???

My sister has coconut, palm, all that come from those trees. She has yet to find a shampoo that doesn't leave her hair greasy, or soap bar without rash. Her essential oils cannot have a coconut base.

I am so excited to give this a try.....have been wanting to make a whipped soap for a long time but been intimidated by the dual lye. Wondering if tallow and frozen goat milk can be used instead of palm and powdered milks? Has anyone done any successful substitutions?

This is years late I know, but... funnel the answer to filling the tubes without getting oil everywhere is funnel! and something to keep the tubes from tipping over so like a very square sided tupperwear to put the tubes in (in like a three by three grid or whatever fit)?

I think the speckles are fat that turned into soap in the lye solution before it was added to the oils. I make goatmilk soap and have speckles often. Especially if the lye milk solution sits for a while before being added to the oils.

If you don't have the cocoa butter wafers, can you just hold it at heat for a time to prevent thd graininess? What temp to heat it to?

What a beautiful soap. I’ve been making my way through Mrs Soap & Clay’s videos because I love her so much and I saw this one right now, right after I lost my own mother 2 weeks ago. It’s amazing how it bring into sharp focus all the lost loved ones. My oldest brother when I was 15. My best friend when I was 18, my only sister when I was 36. My father when I was 39. And now my mother who was one of the best human beings I’ve ever known. It’s crazy each time I feel like the whole world should STOP! And take notice that this incredible person is no longer here and everyone should feel the absence of this person’s amazing spark. But the world keeps turning and people keep doing what they do and they don’t see. I feel this way every time. But then I see things like this lovely video and know that most of us have lost special people and are feeling those same feelings of loss and pain. And it’s so heartwarming to see you put together such a wonderful and lovely creation from your warm memories of your mother who passed, thank you for sharing this with us all! It’s helped me through some of my grief and that means a whole lot. My heart goes out to you and anyone else who’s lost special people. Thank you ❤️
