Hi, I like the decision tree. I have a question regarding the first scenario (ie: build new home/substantial renovation) and move into it as primary residence: what's the tax implication if the Builder is my HoldCo (not myself as an individual)?

Thanks for another great video covering a very complex topic. What would be the HST implications of building a 2 story home for myself and finishing the basement (1.e 30% of the building) as a rental apartment.... where we would move in the upper portion and rent the basement unit to a relative or a pure stranger?
