And one more thing, agree with the choice of Ruger!!😁👍

Great info 👍🏻 If you don’t want to go to the expense of a track saw there is a simple solution. Use a straight piece of baton or a length of box tube steel as a guide rail by clamping it flat onto the sheet you want to cut. The trick is to place your circular saw blade to the pencilled cutting line on one side, Now clamp your guide baton tight o the saws edge, next move to the other side of the sheet and do the same. You now have the guide rail in place. I Next push the circular saw tight to the rail and begin cutting. You can use the same trick with a jigsaw.

Your comedic timing keeps me very entertained while learning something new. I especially like the extra couple of seconds of commitment before cutting to the next shot.

I would add a #6 tool. A oscillating tool. It was the one tool I didn’t know I needed until I bought it.

Old time electrician....your flush cutters...we called them "dikes", short for diagonal cutters. Agree with your choices!! And please, never EVER practice before filming!! Just wouldn't be the same!!👍👍

I got a Japanese saw recently. Love it. I still don't know what I'm doing but it is more comfortable when I'm probably cutting before measuring.

Seeing your Japanese saw reminds me of the machete my grandma bought my hubby on a mission trip to Honduras that they use to clear jungle and whatever. I guess she thought it was cool and he did too but it’s sat in our shop for 25 years. 🤣🤣🤣

I needed to floor some of an attic with 12 and 25 mm ply. I needed a track saw / circular saw but didn't get one because I want a Mafell and cannot afford one (check them out if you're not aware - supposedly better than Festool - you can get them in the states from timberwolftools). Then I remembered I had a Silky Fox Takeru-Boy folding hand saw (double sided). Turned out I didn't need the circular saw as much as I though. If you cut as close to parallel with the cross cut blade (rather than the more ambitious rip) it cuts very well and very fast. The saw, despite being quite large (270mm on the blade alone) is almost surgical if you know what you are doing allowing cuts of 1mm thick. The finish is also better than Western saws and it's bendiness is a bonus for flush cuts. I must saw that Japanese pull saws are a revelation. Cutting on the push stroke just doesn't feel right after them. I'm not sure what benefits Western saws have that negate them. The advantage of the Takeru-Boy saw is that it's double sided with cross and rip as opposed to many which are one or the other and it folds which is super handy given how feckin' sharp they are! Apologies for the millimetre measurements - I'm European and as such only use inches for approximations. As a bonus, look up the Japanese brand "Engineer". They have a pliers specifically designed for removing screws which needs surprisingly little purchase on the screw head. I bought them on a whim and during house renovations, found them exceeding handy for removing old brass flat head screws which are extremely susceptible to stripping during removal. Thanks for the video. Hail to the king baby!

I haven't used a push saw in 10 years. I agree. The Japanese style saws are far more intuitive to use, faster, and more accurate. Although, you've been using much nicer saws than me. I'll look into those pliers. Thanks for the info!
