The one in Malaysia is a rotary. Too big to be a roundabout. Place Charles de Gaulle is a traffic circle. Roundabouts were yet to be invented by the UK when this intersection was laid out.

Oh, I am so sorry for your small American brain, and your difficulty understanding how to navigate a roundabout. In fact roundabouts decrease traffic accidents by 90% and increase traffic flow. Every European country are rapidly changing intersections with roundabouts and shared spaces.

small American brain. Back to back world war champions. Only country to fly its flag on the moon. The home of the worlds largest marketing and internet services. The first automotive assembly lines. The first aircraft took flight from our land. Please tell me more about how “Americans” are so inferior to the rest of the communist world. 😂

There is a roundabout near the University of Melbourne, just north of downtown, that is worse than a couple of these. If I recall correctly, it has 4 different (major) roads entering it, and several side streets - and it also has 2 tram tracks going through it. Until the Citylink freeway was completed, this was the main route to Tullamarine Airport. Even though I wasn't even 10 yet when we lived there, I still remember being terrified just riding through it.
