The First Story... Skulls in the Forrest- This is Mike from TA Outdoors channel [totally awesome outdoors.] Yes, this was in England; the only other places Mike has videoed is Scotland... to my knowledge. I watched this episode when it came out BEFORE COVID [I think], so it's been some years. He wasn't necessarily afraid of anything supernatural, but creeped out by the possibility that there were other people in the area. The tree limbs, the skulls were hanging on, WERE FRESH CUT. THIS WAS RECENT, NOT ANCIENT HISTORY. All of the skulls were obviously from animal carcasses that had been scavenged by the local predators, NO ANIMAL SACRIFICE. A couple of Red Deer and a couple of Sheep skulls , and all of that would be commonplace in that part of England. No, Mike never divulges the forrests where he camps, unless it is private property where he has permission... and now in his own little tract of land with a forrest. There was no rhyme or reason to the placement of the skulls on the stakes, and Mike thought it looked like some Teen agers doing 'stupid' things with skulls they found in the forrest.

Yeah "Britain" and "far from civilization" don't really go together. 😆 A lot of us pagans like to use animal skulls as ornamentation in rituals, it's nothing spooky or evil about it - it's just a part of nature and a more permanent piece of natural material, like wood.
@Aethuviel Жыл бұрын
This was the most exaggerated I've seen Top5s get in a long while. *Animal skulls on sticks* "It might be a cult... some horrid, murderous rituals took place here, possibly witches... they must have been standing here for centuries... he was lucky to get home with his life" (paraphrasing all of it). It's just some animal skulls.
@anna9072 Жыл бұрын
First story: Absolutely not centuries before. Probably not even decades. Those sticks that the skulls are on would decay and/or get knocked over within a few years. The skulls themselves might be a decade or so old, but they were likely propped up on the sticks after the soft tissue had decayed.
@janehughart9290 Жыл бұрын
Yeah my first thought was that it was either a hoax or some pagans had had a ritual there.

As someone who grew up in Great Falls MT I've heard of that legend many times. My mom, Nana, great auntie, and I were on that highway many times and my auntie would bring it up. She would always say he was restless and lost spirit who died a tragic death. We are Native Americans and we are very close to the spiritual world. Every time I'm on that highway I always think about what my great auntie told me.

I use to drive highway 87 in Montana a few years. I had express deliveries from the office in Great Falls to Havre. I've only traveled at night to go fishing and drink beer just past the Fort Benton near Loma. I never saw the hitch hiker but saw very stange things in that area. One day, it rained a bunch of baby toads in Big Sandy. There was millions of them jumping in the street and getting ran over. After a day of deliveries in Havre, I was headed back to Great Falls. Right around Fort Benton there was a car in front of me for a few miles. Then the car just disappeared right in front of my eyes! There is strange stuff in and around highway 87 for sure!

16:35 my team and I have experienced something similar. We were investigating an old castle where they have burned witches. The car we drove there was still warm when we walked back to get more equipment. I filmed with my thermal camera and captured something black flowing across the car, whatever it was it was solid enough to block out the heat of the car!? To this day it remains one of the most eerie things I’ve captured on thermal camera this far.

Thank you Top 5, I took a breather and gave you time to chill. I have watched and enjoyed every episode this spooktacular month and thanks to you Top 5, tonight's creepy montage really took me by surprise, what a strange case is that of Ruth Finley, I hope she finds peace at last after going through what seemed a life of abuse, the mind itself is such a powerful entity that I could easily understand how she created a alter ego, and I know she wasted police time, but she was never prosecuted, but how really chilling that story alone was, and in amongst four other equally chilling stories. In the first "mystery," common sense dictates that the skulls were fastened to sticks, which are biodegradable, all of which appeared to be in relatively good condition so they couldn't have been laying on the ground for decades or centuries. The most likely source is the guy who allegedly discovered them.

Those skulls on sticks could not have been centuries old, let alone decades. Those sticks would have rotted away after a couple of years. The skulls wouldn't last too long since rodents would have chewed them up for the calcium. There is no indicators of why they were put there. That footage @ 6:00 is a man walking up a slope. The arm length is wrong and the stride is as well.

Love your stuff, and I don't mean to get hung up on your choice of flair wording, but suggesting that the skull staffs had been there for "decades or even centuries" is a bit of stretch. A couple years maybe, but there's no way that those twigs supporting those skulls are that old. Wood rots, soil moves and those skulls wouldn't have stayed put if a decent gust of wind came through that area. My theory is MAYBE a Satanic/Pagan ritual...more than likely some Social Media Influencer did a photo shoot there a few months before. As for a "necrophonic microphone"...I'm sorry, but I take no stock into a device (or app) that claims to be able to pick up spectral voices. Where's the science (or even the mysticism) behind that? Any self-respecting paranormal investigator wouldn't be caught undead claiming that as credible evidence.

Agreed. Sticks wood have rotted with in a year. Just either people goofing off or someone doing some "ritual" a few weeks/months before.

I once dog-sat at a house way out in the woods. The mutt kept disappearing into the woods then bringing back pieces of a rotten deer carcass and dragging them though the doggie door. When I put them in the garbage the dog would go nuts, knocking over the cans and spreading the trash everywhere. So in order to keep these disgusting smelling things away from the dog, I stuck them up in the trees out of his reach. If there had been an internet back then, I'm sure it would have gone viral.

First one - maybe the area isn't as isolated as he thinks it is. I didn't think scary ritual when I saw the skeleton heads, it may just be local people staking out their hunting grounds, an offering to the gods to thank them for good hunting, or maybe pagans went camping there and did do a ritual.. Second one - fake. The sasquatch was frozen as the car was moving. It's just a mannequin. Fourth one - lady has mental problems, but I hope she used some of the money she got by appearing on a talk show to pay back the police in her area for her wasting their time. Last one - this is an "experienced" ghost hunting team? They hear a disembodied voice then become screaming mimmies? Hardly the reaction of experienced professionals. I didn't hear anything but a burst of static. And the shadow? Did you notice the lighting on the car was from several light sources? Could have just been someone on the other side of the car - that they didn't film - walking past a light source that sent the shadow under the car to the other side. Calling BS on that one.
@Aethuviel Жыл бұрын
The skull staffs could have been left just days or weeks ago. They are just skulls, why would they have eto be fresh heads when put there? And after decades, the sticks would be gone from all the heavy snowfall. Don't jump to conclusions, these must have been put there very recently, and they're just some animal skulls.

lol, first video clip is normal behaviour for UK country kids. Nothing sinister at all. I remember when The Blair Witch first came out and the woods were filled with little stick figures as kids get bored. Skulls are easy to find - either from dead livestock or poached/hunted deer. I recently cleared my garden and found 4 fully antlered skulls attached to the fence. Pretty sure the person who lived in the property before me was nothing more than a deer stalker, not a cult member.

There wouldn't have been skulls still on the sticks and on top of the leaves and mud if they had been there decades, let alone centuries. They weren't that old.
