Playing Makeup Very interesting! I am in college debating between the two fields (social work vs. teaching) May I ask why you left the field? And what made you pursue teaching?! Are you happy you made the switch 😊

I love that you have both the student and parent sign the scavenger hunt! I have my students do a written scavenger hunt in class, but I like the idea of having them do it at home as their first homework assignment!

I am not an efficient worker at all either. I really need to work on that. I’m loving the colours in your room! I like the syllabus scavenger hunt idea -it’s a great way to hold students accountable. The “7 Habits...” bulletin board looks awesome! 😮👍🏾

A really good book we had to read for my AP English 11 summer assignment was Tribe on Homecoming and Belonging by Sebastian Junger. I think it could be a useful tool or at least a good read.

Seeing your asian Americans poster on your cupboard made me think, have you been to or heard of the heart mountain museum and monument in wyoming? It's for relocated asian Americans (mostly japanese) after pearl harbor. Very fascinating but sad, you would like it

Thank you for showing how you create the letters on lucid press and then print them-- I've been trying to create something like this on Google docs and it just wasn't working. The font wasn't big enough. Thank you for the step by step explanation!

I am a parent who really enjoys watching your videos and other teacher classroom vids. I know you mentioned you might cover this in another video, but I am curious as to how you actually incorporate that "How to Change The World" book into your curriculum. Although I have only seen snippets of the book's outline, I'll admit that as a parent I would be concerned about my student being in your classroom and being taught from that book. From what I've seen it seems like the planner is just a series of lessons about how everyone except white men are now and have always been ONLY victims. I do not subscribe to the notion that the color of my skin nor what's in between my legs or on my chest makes me a victim of any kind, and I would never want my children feeling as though it does for them, and this is coming from a black mother with black children. Sorry for the long post, I am just curious. I really do enjoy your channel!
