That was impressive! It is hard to imagine someone having such a lifetime trip and doing it solo 😮. I only wonder how much courage does it require and preparation. As well, raft looks solid if you managed to get through all the water flora, in the begging it seemed that it's not going to survive so many obstacles, but oh well my rookie misconception. All the respect, keep up the good content!👏 👍

Thanks! Although these rafts look like pool toys they are made for rivers, whitewater and scraping rocks etc. I would not attempt a multiple day solo trip if I wasn't familiar with what I was getting into. It is good to be a little scared to keep you on your toes. If you are not scared at all then there is something wrong. Thanks for watching!
@mt.sinairefuge32083 жыл бұрын
I have lived here in the area of the video for 15 years and even for a year right on one of those oxbow lakes he passed by. I can tell you the guy has brass B****. Those little canals and creeks and swampy areas on the edge of the lakes have anacondas 6" in diameter when their stomach is empty. Deeper in the woods they are bigger. Additionally there are many other things that can hurt or kill you (falling trees, stingrays, electric eels, ocelots, vipers and othe venomos snakes, getting lost, etc.) I have known or heard of people getting killed or injured by all of those things listed. Curiously, the ocelot is a much smaller cat than a jaguar or puma but I nave never heard of someone being attacked by the later but one neighbor had an ocelot attack their teenage child and it almost killed them. The kid had to kill the ocelot with his bare hands. My 13 year old at the time had a croc jump and bite at him at the edge of a lake but missed. Another child of a neighbor their child was killed by an electric eel. My cook got bitten by a viper and was in serious condition, I got hit by a tree in the head and now have a big scar, a couple months ago a younster was swiming with friends at a local place on the river and just disappeared and drowned right where they were without any struggle...probably was an eel or stingray. I watched as one of my workers had a tree fall on him and almost crushed him to death. I go places like that all the time...but never alone.

Hi, nice video! May I ask what brand tarp and hammock you use and advise for a trip to the Amazon?
@IncanExpeditions3 жыл бұрын
The majority of my tarps are just generic brands on Ebay and Amazon. A few are from "Blue Stone". Just make sure it's at least 3m (9-10ft), not too heavy and it has at least 8 loops for tying down. I use a Superlight DD tarp for hiking. For the hammock any nylon hammock is fine so buy a cheap one and see if you like it. Make sure it has two zippers on the door. Make sure it's not heavy. The Hennessey Hammock is way too heavy.

I have a question. You said it is only you now in the canal. I wonder how you filmed the part you are coming rafting and not the regular going forward movement?

I think you mean when I'm moving towards the camera. You place the camera, hit the record button then walk back, turn around then move towards the camera.

Thanks! I dehydrate my own meals and offer these to DIY hikers in the Cusco area here: incachef.com I'm not sure if bringing the "Mountain House" or "Base Camp Food" freeze dried meals through customs at the airport is allowed. There are none of these kinds of camping meals available here.
