We’re also having continued warm temperatures this Fall. It’s been so good for my garden, which got a late start, so I’ve been able to get a nice harvest. Thanks for sharing your journaling ideas. 🌱

Already had a few frosts, just cut the last celery today. All my roots are in. Only things still outside are a few cabbages, brussel sprouts, and broccoli. Three last years we've had snow in Oct, that stayed 🫣. Hopefully not again! But gardening season outside is over, daylight barely 12h by now. Finland, half way up 😊.

Wow so you're in Finland? That's fascinating. When is your Average first Frost? How late do you keel those crops outside?

@@farmtablewest5991 Yes, average last frost is 6/10, but this year we had a heatwave in May, and no frost in June. However, June was cold. Average first frost is 9/10, but this year we went to the end of Sept, so that was nice! I seldom plant any fall crops as most crops thst can handle the cold can keep going trough the season, i.e. chard and kale and the like. Could probably do succession on carrots and beets, but I prefer them big as I store them in a root cellar. Dreaming of having a market garden, though... Only need to get a neighbour to let us rent or buy a bit of field 😁.

@@farmtablewest5991 I keep the crops out depending on weather and when I have time to harvest.

@@evafredriksson-lidsle4909 wow that's fascinating. shorter than here by a little bit. we still had frost 9/21 but very small. I wonder if crops grow faster for you because daylight is longer?

@@farmtablewest5991 I think so. Hard to measure, but that is a conclusion I've arrived at while following a range of gardening channels. And my garden. 😅
