Recently started playing D4 bc my friend convinced me to play it, only ever played D3 campaign before so learning all the crafting mechanics has been fun but also pretty overwhelming. should always aim to clear T7 comfortably, as you can always transmute the materials (1 neathiron to 3 ingolite etc)

A lot of people are having trouble with the jump from t6 to 7, but ideally that is a good farm spot for the masterworking and stygian stones.

If your build is not great at AOE, then the boon that makes Fiends explode on death is great. The explosion is quite good and certainly clears a big bunch of minions, not to mention the explosions can chain so if you have a big group together you can kill them all including Lords.

My problem is that the gap between level 6 and 7 is quite large, but I actually need to do level 7 to farm Stygian Stones for the Uber bosses, to eventually get Shako in the end.

If you can do t6, you can probly do like tier 66-85 on pit which gives you like 15% chance for stone per 3 minute run

You don't get a lot on t6 but you do get them. You can also see if someone is willing to supply the stones if you supply the mats. Outside of that... making sure your build is solid, got capped resistances and armor, all glyphs to 21, uniques for the build, desired greater affixes (uniques don't need the greater affixes) on every piece, best rolls for both tiers of masterworking that you can do. All this can be done to get more powerful before t7. Hopefully, that helps. If not, hit me back up with the build you're running and I'll see if I can get you specifics that help that build.

When it comes to gold, dont bother to split your gains (so to speak). Do material and gold runs seperately! If you need materials to upgrade and say you farm level 7 infernal and you end up with say... 700-1000 aether, its rather painful to waist em on gold when you get tons of highest tier material. Rather use lower level compasses, blast through the dungeon with ease and with much less time and dump all your aether into gold. Thats what i did and truth be told, it doesnt take too long to rack up your first billion if you want to!

I will note that if you've hit the "events spawn 50% faster" twice then you can choose the butcher or lords without them slowing you down too much, if you only have horrendous other options.

Aether rush also helps any sorc wearing esus heirloom. Also the hellborne in the hordes seem so much weaker than helltide hellborne.

I forget the name but the boon isn't on the list - killing an Aether fiend causes them to explode and damage enemies. On the last few waves this is an excellent source of damage, especially if you're working on a new build and don't have the masterwork ranks to turn your character into a blender.

I do something similar when masterworking, I get the first 25% perfect on all items that I am wearing. But then I'll jump straight to fully masterworks on all items to get the other two 25% bonuses. Then I'll focus one item at a time to make them perfect based on which one have the biggest affect on my build

Thats works. I tend to do the master working as a progress. I like to make sure that I have great rolls for the level of mats that I can drop at the time. So, it give me a great base when I jump up to farming the next level of mats and even before I can drop top mats my build gets really solid.

I am only interested in Stygian Stones, so I farm T7. Nothing threatens my survival, and I'm just looking at ways to maximize aether, knowing all the while that I can still get RNG-screwed at payoff; I have had >900-aether runs that returned one or two stones, and 300-aether runs that returned five. AFAICT, I'm doing nothing different for the low-scoring and high-scoring runs. The only rule that seems to reliably predict results is to always take the first Hellborne-related choice offered. Once I've chosen Hellborne, the game seems to throw Hellborne at me regardless of subsequent choices. The rest of Hordes seems random, a form of gambling in which you stake the hours of your life against the very meager Stygian drop rate. There's probably more going on, but I can't figure it out, and for me, grinding Hordes is drudgery, made necessary by the comparatively lower drop rate for Stygian in The Pit.

I'm sure you are doing it, just make sure you are putting most of your rewards into the materials chest. T8s are a huge jump but not an option for all builds. Totally agree on Hellborne, only consistently worthwhile selection outside of the choice that increases number of events.

I can’t do tier 6. I’m a fire sorc and have everything master worked 8 at the moment, how do you keep your shield up almost 100% of the time? I see lots of streamers having there’s up 100% of the time, mine doesn’t, how do i keep my fireshield and/or ice shield up 100% please.

Having cooldown on your amulet, tal rasha ring, and godslayer crown. Then make sure you are taking shimmering ice armor on the skill tree branch.

Hey check this out. I wanted to bring this up and see if anyone else has had this happen to them. So yester day i selected hellbrone on wave 2. This was a T7. Then i proceeded to go 5 more waves and still hadnt had a single hellborne. I was getting surging hellborne and exalted hellborne trying to force them into spawning...... not a single one. I finally checked my map to see my banes and boons. I had 6 banes and 7 boons. The bane "hellborne are hunting you" wasnt registered. But the boon "hell borne grant you 1 aether was" its like when i selected that first hellborne it bugged out. So needless to say i didnt get a dingle hellborne to spawn. Weird huh

I’m noticing in HC right now that give or take an Item or two for HC adjustments, I’m going to get to the same spot I’m in now in Softcore. Just takes a tiny bit longer playing and not pushing as hard in NMDs getting the Glyphs Maxed. But once these Glyphs are 21 I already know I can go right into T7 Hordes or Pit to get the last 12/12 MWing I need. It’s really all kinda the same.

Can anyone recommend easy to follow build guides, that specifically doesn't require specific items to work (if that's possible?). I'm a "casual" player compared to the stuff all of you guys are probably doing, I just plunk skill points into things without much regard (though I try to think ahead of course) and I try to concentrate on damage for every character/build I try. Now my necro (she's lvl 87 right now and can do tier 2 IH mostly ok, though when I get overwhelmed I can die) is doing alright, as is my sorc for the most part (she's 61). But I'm having a ton of trouble with my lvl 55 rogue. I do a good amount of damage but I'm just getting nuked super fast.

Lords are worth it like T2-4 if you're grinding Mother's Gift on a character for a Spark

@@assist_o.k. I did that a little bit, but for my spark alts, once I got all rare gear I tempered for hp, ac, and damage and thats it. Hit capstone 1 at 35, smoked it. Hit Nightmare dungeons until 50, because you need to collect your glyphs. capstone 2 at 50, smoked it. NM dungeons to start working on your paragon boards and expanding your glyphs until 70-ish. I take them at least until level 15. You can do Tier 1 of the Hordes at level 70. T2 can be a little challenging. T3 you really need to be 100. No carries ever. That's for the weak. Peronally, I LOVE the Hoards. I grew up in the arcades. This stuff is like Galaga. Whoever came up with this idea is earth staggering brilliant when it came to Diablo.

For so long I've been farming T6 because it's just safer so I can play without paying attention too much and grind out mats :') Never knew the stygian stone droprate went from like 0.15% to like 15% in 1 single tier... Been wasting my time here.

@@OwnModeGaming Oh I'm not worried about masterwork mats, I've been using the pit for gems stones and gold most of all. Lightning Spear can bumrush pretty high Pit levels so Neathiron is not a concern, but the Stygianstones I got like 1 every 2-3 T6 hordes, now in 1 T7 I got 7 of them. Insane difference.

You have to let enemies get inside soul spire... That's not good for your build. Also leaving them up is a good way to control your spawn locations for events.

I thought the same thing about having them in the ring but I was proven wrong. It just takes so many kills that it feels like its not working until they are also in the ring. Somebody had to prove it to me ingame, because I did not believe it.

Yeah, they don't have to be in the ring unless you're outside the ring. Once you're in the ring, all your kills count towards the soulspire.

I don't know what to tell you, we have tested chapters and we consistently got 1/3 to a half of the views of similar videos. I know some people want this but if i do this i have to make 2-3 times more videos for the same results. You insinuate that it is that I don't care, but I actually care a lot. Everytime I get this request I really want to do it, but i can't. Compare it to people insisting you triple your hours and make the same amount of money and have the same exact level of opportunity for future success at work. Would you do it, if it was what some people really wanted. I only ran one character on console and that one was close but there wasn’t a need for exact skill placement. Once there is it feels completely different.
