Commenting for solo players. I’ve pushed multiple characters to 100 since s0, can easily clear nm100, pit 80 or so, and depending on the season, can solo some uber bosses. I’ve yet to see one uber/mythic unique since launch. It makes sense that I should hop on discord and find a group, but it’s kinda insane that for a mostly solo player experience, I’ll never see the best armor in the game without crazy luck.

@@corinabasurte1406 what I did was finished the campaign with 2 characters (2 sparks) kill one tormented boss and had one spark from killing lilith previous sessons. I saved up all the boss mats, crafted andariel for my rogue and started farming the bosses. With barely any farming I had like 30 or so tries and 4 mythics drops, my advice is not waste your mats early and only do tormented bosses. After i crafted my andariel i went from struggling on hordes 4 to easily doing level 7 for styg stones

Mythic Uniques are brutal for solo players. To stand a chance at obtaining them, you need to find a group and do a rotation. I wish Blizzard would make it so that people who play the game solo stand just as much chance as those in 4 player groups.

It's funny, one dropped every time for my first 2 uber kills. So I thought they were normal drops and salvaged them to create another. Then never saw one again since (think I've done about 40 more solo runs). Actually I don't think I've gotten anything decent from any of those runs, not even half decent greater affixes

You're the best. I already knew pretty much everything you said but even though it seems like a simple topic you still add a lot to the conversation and really simplify the steps for people. You made a good point about farming the boss that has uniques you need the most, it's a good way to hopefully get those greater versions. I normally just farm Zir because he's so easy. Luckily he also has a unique I want so I was killing two birds with one stygian stone without really thinking about it.

A small side note: all mythic uniques have a level requirement of 35, so if you want to level a new character, every mythic unique will power you up to no end.

Note: Also if you're leveling alt characters they do NOT get a spark for doing lilith, or tormented bosses; its only a one time thing, however they do get a spark from the reputation. If doing helltide also ensure to do any whisper's content within it as its two birds one stone, any boss mats your not using you could potentially sell and then buy the other mats you do use if you're target farming specific uniques. World Bosses can also drop stygian stones but focus on infernal hordes as it is the best place. As always Raxx great video!

There are only two phases to the game. The fun phase leading up to level 100, NM 100, Pit 100+ and getting the mythics you've been wanting. And then there's the hair-pulling mind-numbingly enraging phase of spending countless 100's of hours trying to get a single GA version of any of them. This 2nd phase lasts until the last black hole in the universe evaporates.

Yeah I only run the lvl 85 version of him so I can still farm andariel and get the most out of my mats. Sucks you get less chance at mythic uniques than you would if he dropped as many mats as he was supposed to but all we can do is play the game we have and report issues and hope blizzard fixes it 😢

Note that stygians only drop from T6+ hordes, some people can't do that yet

I haven't done a T6 but I have some can't recall if it was from the infernal hordes or from something else. I think that you get some from the reputation track and maybe from the season challenges.

@@andrew177100 Yeah, you get ~12 stygians from reputation caches (I believe 2 in one midway through and 10 or so in the final one), besides there is still a chance in the Pit of course, but Pit is still bugged (fragments are not dropping in NM, so you run out quickly and can't start new pits anymore). If someone can do 6 comfortably, that's 1-2 stones per run.

I was in a group farming tormented bosses yesterday and am fireball sorc with melted heart and shako, I literally can face tank anything because as fireball I keep my resource at max and the enemy does dmg to my resource which is always at max. Melted heart is severely underrated and as soon as I left the group they begged me to come back later to tank for them. I don't even have Tyraels yet.

i am a new player and basically this is my first season on my barb. i got two mythics from the double treasure goblin event, but after i have been so confused on how to get them. There is a chest in helltide that is labeled as living steel (super easy to get ). All of the boss mats are super easy to farm . I literally had a stash page full of mats before i even hit lvl 100. You can do it folks just gotta grind.

Depends on your char and depends on the boss. Beside raw survivability and DPS required, some bosses have more difficult core mechanics which you need to dodge (those mechanics are special attacks which give you a stacking debuff of more damage taken, where usually after 3-4 you will get 1-shot by most things boss does). Zir and Duriel seem to be the easiest in this department, with Beast and Andariel being the toughest, dishonorable mention going to Varshan and his stupid dance routine...

I’ll summarize for you casual players: 1) you have virtually no chance without a group which you need a 3rd party tool to find. 2) you have no chance of killing an uber boss with non Uber gear, so you will need someone to carry you, at least at first. 3) even if you have #1 and #2, you will need many many hours of grinding mats to get your mythics, far beyond what a casual player has time for.

Not strictly true. My bash barb can solo Uber Duriel in about 45 seconds, and I don't even use any mythics on my build. Only pain gorgers.ive farmed quite a few solo now.

Not true. I'm a solo arrow storm rogue and I haven't had any problems killing Ubers. Now getting what I need to drop is a different story but as a solo it's not impossible at all. Just takes persistence and understanding your build. Also I am a dad and have a full time job as an electrician so take it for what you want but it's very possible to do and very possible to get mystic uniques. 🤷🏽

I find the power creep in this game incredibly frustrating. Im playing rogue and i find it very hard to push the items i can get to a point where i can kill tormented bosses. Most builds people use to farm for these items require these items. It just seems i always hit a wall that is just shy of being able to solo tormented bosses. Every build i look to to push past that damage wall needs one mythic that entire build is focused around. Im sure im doing things wrong but it feels very frustrating for us casuals since we dont know where we are not making up that difference.

@@theobell2002 .my solution this season is to level Alts. I got 3 sparks for my rogue already, right? You finish your first grind and kill Lilith (i asked the carry channel on the official Diablo discord for this) and got pushed through. Now I'm levelling a sorc, and I'm about 7 mothers gift caches from the 4th spark i need. Ill craft the Andys Visage and Im off to the races on my Rogue. This is absolutely not an ideal solution. And it totally sucks that i have to work around their system to make it work. While these games are very different i think the Division did loot drops and recalibration better. Targeted loot farming and slot specific activities as an example. I think they should drop mythics on normal bosses at a lower item level. Maybe like 600-750 or something. So we can use those items with poorer stats but have access to the skill modifiers and aspects they give to make the builds function the way we need to play them. If i could masterwork Andys Visage at item lvl 750 that would give me the poison novas i need for the build to work and it would get me over that wall while still limiting the multipliers and stats to a point where im not quite ready for Tier 8 hordes or +100 pit runs. You could very well find that balance.

Every class has multiple builds capable of killing tormented bosses without a single Mythic unique. You just need the regular uniques required to make the builds function, along with some time investment for leveling glyphs to 15 and getting tempred/masterworking to a basic level. I can't imagine you guys are following a Maxxroll guide, have the glyphs/tempers/masterworking and still cant kill any of the bosses.

Idk what people find good about these so called "features". You basically have to grind some different activities in diablo 4 to give you rng drops and not a lot of them too. Then you fight some bosses that give you rng drops to fight other bosses that give you rng drops. All that to NOT get what you need and repeat that shit. The material farming for these bosses ruins everything. These features are perfectly optimized to remove casuals from the playerbase

I got my first 2 Mythic's yesterday and they were that staff and amulet lol I salvaged the staff but not gonna lie the amulet helped my mana problem with my Fireball Sorc I can average around 20 shots until mana is empty if I hold the button, and it shot my crit chance to over 80% cause I already had 41% crit chance, so even tho it's not used in most any builds it is useful for mana when you have no other Mythic's.

The better way to explain it is that you have a 98.5% chance of one not dropping every time. After five chances, your chances of not seeing one drop are 92.7% (0.985^5). OP’s statement is correct.

Hi Raxx, I agree with 99% you said and still need to talk about 1%. I have a challenge for you - start a new character next season play only solo and when you get first mythic, talk about the guide again - and don’t forget that you play 8-12hours a day? So what guide is for an average player? There was one important sentence you said-you NEED to find a group. So the game forces a player to be in a party to have quadruple chance? And basically technically the game allows you to acquire the most powerful items in the game by just joining a group for free? Wow, the best game design ever-do you know any other game where you don’t need to do anything and still get the rarest and best items in the game? What I am trying to say is a tremendous gigachat gap between solo and group play especially 4man. You enter a group and boom - your reward can be quadrupled compared to solo play. This season, it took me 35 tormented bosses to kill to get my first mythic and trust me I am very efficient-killing beast within 5sec. My suggestion is very easy=would not hurt group but reward solo a bit more. 1. Achievement = after killing all tormented bosses solo for the first time you would get 200% boost to mythic unique drops when playing solo; and the second part of this would be-only after killing all of them solo you could party up for all tormented bosses-still would be much more efficient to play in a group 2. Achievement - after killing Lilith for the first time solo=you would need only half summoning materials for tormented bosses when playing solo I think this would bring solo a bit closer and would not force you to go find parties with random people and it would not be free compared to group, but locked behind achievements

I was having a hard time killing and farming bosses was so I looked up a quick and easy to understand guide to farming mythics and I came across this video so I’ve subbed :) very helpful I’m at work as of right now but I mite stop by stream since I have no friends I still haven’t killed Lilith for the longest time.

I'd just like to point out, a good way to solve the problem of Infernal hordes VS Pits is that they need to put rune shards in infernal horde chests, and they need to put boss summoning mats in the pit. This will create a loop where you do infernal hordes to go to the pits and pits to get boss mats to summon uber bosses and repeat. It will give players a linear vision on how to play the end game and give the different content actual purpose.

d4 bad. how to get the best items step 1: jump through hoops to get materials b4 you can farm. step 2: completely brick finding mythic uniques after doing over 100 runs. step 3: realize how d4 bad and just uninstall.

300 exquisite blood? So you ran Lord Zir 11 times? Or did you run Zir a bunch of times as the non-Tormented version? If option A, that's honestly not very many times at all. If option B, you're doing it wrong.

@@jedirayden i had collected a total of 300 bloods. I joined a rota group and killed the tormented version of zir. The loot system is really bad anything that requires "luck" 🤞 i call bullshit because streamers miraculously get all the drops within an hour of farming tormented version of bosses with GA and tempering them through max stats without bricking the item. I see a clear disadvantage in this system and it's quite bad.

I got my first uber unique this season by leveling 3 characters and pumping the reputation, then got my Barb to a point where it could solo tormented Zir and got one from that. Crafted a Shako for my Sorc and now I can solo any uber boss I want. Now I just need to get lucky enough for Tyrael's and I'm set.
