I've been a Trunks main, put in 100s of hours on Trunks but his combos are just not consistent. Should I switch to Gogeta 4? Or should I continue struggling with Trunks ?

@@2Swords I'd appreciate your help for sure! So I play Trunks point - MUI Goku mid and Blueku anchor I find it difficult to consistently pull off Trunks optimal combos or advanced combos that involve too many ex flips. Main issue is they aren't always consistent and this gets aggravated when I'm playing online with lag despite roll back being out for pc. 1. Should I change my supporting characters around Trunks ? If so, what would you recommend ? 2. Any advice on how I can master Trunks better (cuz he's my favorite DBZ/s character. 3. I have an especially bad time against Gogeta Blue and Vegeto. 4. Any advice on conquering neutr with Trunks? 5. Anything else I'm missing ?

Yeah np I gotchu! Most of trunks combos are now using light flip including saiyan mid/fullscreen bnb and corner loops. All use L flip. So I’d just focus on that stuff and making sure you’re getting his optimals n stuff down. The best combo is a non dropped combo! So just take a step back and keep it simple w Trunks. Here’s a video for combo ideas w Trunks: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKClfmeaZ8SEo7s 1. For starters playing Trunks point is possible but puts him at a disadvantage and he needs all the help he can get. His best position is mid with a good assist behind him but he is also v strong at anchor. He needs a teammate that can build bar for him, at point especially. So bluku is perf for that, just shift him to first. UI Goku is fine and works well with trunks but there are better options fs, so if u wanna keep playing him id play him mid. So a team order of: blu goku (A), ui goku (b), trunks (a,b,c). Try that out and see how it works. 2. Well you’ve come to the right place! I have a buncha videos for Trunks combos and much more coming soon. So def stay tuned and let’s master trunks together. 3&4 Try keeping your distance from these characters and control the screen since Trunks has that in his toolkit. Patience is key. Change the future is your friend so def use that in neut. 5S + CTF, CTF + a good assist to lock em down, CTF into backdash sometimes, or even CTF 2-3x in a row can be a great neutral tool. And then change it up w the occasional beam. Then once you got that down you can even throw an ex flip or shining slash to approach quick n fast. Also use ex flip as either mix, to bait something, or a way to remove urself from dangerous situations and back to neut, like when in the corner. So dont mindlsessly throw it out like fullscreen and stuff or youll get punished. 5. There's a lot to Trunks so just keep at it and keep grinding. If he’s your favorite character you’ll make him work! He’s def hard to master and takes time so just have some patience and you’ll get there in no time. @@2Swords Hey man!! So I've grinded and labed a whole bunch. Changed my line up to Trunks on point with Blueku Mid and Gogeta4 anchor. My trunks game is on a whole new level. I play on pc. My ranked bp is 650k ssj 3. Just thought of saying thank you. I took your advice and hung on with Trunks! Trunks with assists on point is a mix monster! ❤️
