I love that you're Canadian as well! It's so much easier to figure out pricing and even where to get the items when I'm watching someone close to me!

Yes! I watch so many videos like this and get SO jealous of their US prices haha. Thanks for watching and commenting Holly. :)

Thank you so much for posting this video. It's refreshing finding videos with Canadian prices 🥰 I have 2 small tips to help make the sausage rice dinner a little more affordable. Food Basics has Italian sausages in a bag for $10. There are 4 packages with 5 sausages in each. Also Walmart sells frozen bags of diced, mixed bell peppers for $1.99 🤗

Nice to find a Canadian video! Watching Americans show me their $20 of groceries that would cost me like $80 is not a good time😂

Lol riiiight. That's why I made it, more of a challenge to myself to see if it could even be done in Canada. ;) The difference is you can't go to a store here and only spend $5 for dinner that night. You have to spend like $50 and be very strategic in how you break up those ingredients over the course of a week.

I am confused bc you said the sausages were 5 for a dollar but the two were a dollar each?
@JuliaRaeConnor Жыл бұрын
Hi Heather! I actually added a correction on top of the video that said they were 5 for $5, I just misspoke! Hope that helps. :)

Hi! What kind of rice can I use instead of the one you used? Does the recipe work with white rice?
@JuliaRaeConnor2 жыл бұрын
Hi! You can use any kind of rice really, just maybe not quick rice. :)
