Ive been bingeing budget meals, but they are all U.S. so not always applicable. So nice to find a fellow Canadian. The American bloggers lean very Mexican, which is fine but I prefer Asian cuisine so it was great to see the stir fry. New sub!

From Nova Scotia. Prices are insane here. I’ve made this without rice before and just used it as a side dish and I’ve liked it but I’ll have to try it with rice ! I like adding Thai chilli sauce !

The cheapest (consistent price; not on sale) protein I’ve found so far is in the Walmart freezer section they have ground chicken or Turkey tubes, 1lb for $2.99. I make this same dish with one of those tubes or similar dish with several bricks of cheap ramen (I add my own condiments to make a sauce and save the seasoning packs for when I’m making a chicken in the slow cooker) I’m in Ontario as well :)
