Just so ya know, unless it's liquid, pools are only clearing swimmers out for show. Otherwise the chlorine kills whatever so long as it's solid enough to pick out with a net. We just clear you guys out and throw some baking soda in the pool for looks.

I used to live in a community with a community pool and I can tell you our security guys wouldn't jump in the fricken pool with you!! They would grab you by your hair, haul your sorry arse up out of the pool and tell you to vamoose or they were calling the cops!! And what is up with no lights? I once saved my brother from drowning when we were swimming alone in a lake, my mom had gone back to the car for something and he decided to try deeper waters. He kicked off the ground and away from shore, as soon as he couldn't touch down again he started panicking and trying to swim but he couldn't do it right and was sinking fast. I had left the water to pick up our swimming doughnut (don't know the official name for them) and at that point had it in my hands. I took a step towards the water before stopping and just throwing it at him like I was playing ring toss, I managed to throw it over my brother who was nothing more than a pair of grasping hands in the water by the time it made it to him. Thank god he managed to take hold of the plastic and get himself back up for air. When he got himself situated properly on it we both looked at eachother with dread, all the fun sucked out of our activity by what just happened. At the time my best and only swimming move was the doggie paddle and I don't think I would have been strong enough at swimming or at carrying him to get him out, I pale to think of what would happen if I missed throwing that pool doughnut, or if it had gotten to him too late. Our mom showed up about 5 minutes later, she had apparently gone to the bathroom after getting whatever she needed from the car. Neither of us even thought to tell her and to this day I don't even know if she ever found out, I was 8 and my brother was 6 when it happened.

There was an abandoned pool kids used to play back in my days. Everytime, theres always kids fall sick & dying. People honestly believe that the pool was cursed. Turns out it was just ridden with diseases (dengue fever, malaria, etc..) due to stagnant water
