So my feet always get cold,whether I have socks on,or it’s summer time,etc... Well my former neighbor had the sweetest most lovable dog I’d ever come across,and for years EVERY single time I was over there whether I was standing or sitting their dog would come straight to me and lay on my feet.They would always say she never did that to/with anyone else. Even if I got up to use the bathroom or went to another room,she would follow me,wait for me outside the door or for me to stand still for a min or sit down again and she would lay her belly on my feet. When I heard she died some years ago I cried like an 8 year old little girl for a few min,lol.

It's heart breaking to be a dog sitter who lost someone's beloved pet, I don't think I'd ever get over the guilt. And it's critical to have your dog on a perfect recall command as well! Our puppy Connie slipped passed me out the front door and headed outside where the gate was unopen (wretched mailman didn't close it), outside that is the highway, Connie was just 8 months (now 9 months old) and trotting off exploring so I gave her the recall command and quickly brought her back inside, if she didn't have that recall she'd have been dead.

I empathize with the older lady in the last story and can understand why she keeps to herself. She's lived awhile and has most likely been through a lot and probably doesn't trust people anymore. Also, maybe she doesn't leave the house because she has mobility issues or doesn't have a vehicle. Perhaps most or all of her friends and relatives have passed, so she has nowhere to go *to* besides grocery stores and dr appointments. Her dog meant the world to her and some evil SOB took that away from her.

Honestly it’s sad but I would have too. I can’t change the fact that the dog ran off, mans couldn’t even hear his loud ass barks anymore and it was pitch black in the cold of the night. I feel bad for the older lady in the third story. She literally thought that there were demons down below. In a sense, she was right. If she was hearing things from the floor in her bedroom, why wouldn't she check the crawlspace? She had to have known about it's existence, she put the rug down on top of the opening to it. Unless someone else laid the rug there for her and didn't tell her that it was there. Unlikely though because she would've seen it when she looked at the house before buying it. Unless she had vision problems. There are many different factors to consider I guess. 💁

My friend and I were dog sitting one day at his cousins house, we were home alone all night because his dad worked all night. It was around 11pm when we had to take the dog out one last time. My friend told me to come outside with him because he was scared since we were in the middle of the woods. We were outside and I was messing with him by making noises and all that. He started getting mad so I stopped and just stood on the porch and waited. A few minutes later we heard a stick break in the woods and we could hear someone walking in there, we both ran inside and locked the doors. We closed all the blinds and made sure every door was locked. We sat in the living room for at least an hour trying to figure out what to do. We decided to not call his dad and just play video games to clear our minds. We played video games for an hour or so and then we decided to check the cameras once we weren’t so scared. We went through the footage and saw a tall black figure walk out of the woods and run through the front of the house, turning on the motion sensor lights. It was a tall bulky person in all black. Till this day we still believe the mans intention was to break in

Ok, that first story something similar happened to me. We had a puppy (it was an Aussie… really miss her!) she started barking one night facing my closet. (We live in a small mobile home) I woke up looked at her, got up, picked her up, and placed her on the bed. She jumped off and scratched at the closet door. (It was closed when I walked out) I had walked out of my room to get something to drink. I came back the door was open. I screamed so dang loud I woke everyone up. I eventually met her nearly twenty years later, in Bryson City, North Carolina. She is so cute! And very well fed! I named her Sierra, after the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, in Reno, Nevada.
