My CNC is not a hobby, it’s to up my business! This was an excellent reminder of things to make for pets since people will spend more on their pets than their kids! My only input is a pattern to start with. This site post things I’m not interested in, but I don’t whine about it because it’s designed for wide interests….

I guess I am going against the grain here, but thanks for this kind of content. I'm really good at coming up with creative ideas for my personal projects, but when it comes to thinking of what to make so I can sell I'm at a loss. These videos really jog that "mass consumer" part of my brain that needs to be at the forefront when I am trying to make money.

Great ideas. We need the easy sales to go along with our custom pieces.

I miss Winston Moy very much because he is a real maker, humble, pertinent and passionate. He broaden complex machining making audacious pieces, not trinkets the worst of us already does. Nothing personal but the falsely sympathetic Mr Perfect do not appeal to me. Where did the maker's spirit go ? Wrong casting IMHO. I seriously consider unsubscribing.

What happened to Winston?
@axelSixtySix2 жыл бұрын
@@mmlg24 Last news he was supposed to be still working @ Carbide, but it sounds like a handover, Winston appearing on a few videos leaded by the new host. Then Winston disappeared from Carbide's KZbin channel. I hope there's no marketing expert considering Winston was not the good match for the next marketing plan. I guess we will never know the true story but it would be crucial for the brand to get the maker spirit back or some or their customers may turn away.

I agree, CNC and making for me is a hobby, not a business. I make stuff for home, my kids, family, friends. If I have to justify my hobby by having it pay for itself, it's a job. I have a job. I run as a hobby, I dont enter races for cash prizes. It seems the channel has taken a direction change from ambitious hobby maker projects to nonsense to sell on etsy/craft fairs. I agree that's not what I'm here for -- if that's the direction I'll start tuning out.

@@ezras8889 Fine. Enjoy. Your beliefs are your own. Maybe someday we will be aware about what really happened about Winston. And about the new host, I see no variety of content, only useless trinkets and yes, as an early subscriber of Carbide's channel I'm getting a tired to wait for interesting content.
