If we can't get a striker who guarantees us goals next season we wait for Kane on a free while praying for Martial to be fit.

All of your suggestions are ridiculously good but I predict we're only getting one of them and at an exaggerated price at that. The takeover won't get done until after the tour and we'll only have made one signing by then and 3 at the beginning of the season. Mount will be the only one we expect and none of the 3 will be desirable signings esp for fans but excuses will be made in some regard as to their suitability to the system and it will be assumed that Erik asked for those players specifically given how unlikely they are. We'll have a 'meh' season with similar ups and downs as the last but with a more disappointing end where we barely make top 4 and end the season trophyless. At the end of it, there'll be more questions about ten Hag's ability and a growing portion of the fans will want him out. What might be his saving grace is that that summer could be amazing depending on who owns the club by then but a lot of the desirable, younger talents would likely be off the market for various reasons including the upcoming international tournaments. For example, Costa won't be available next summer because he'll either have been signed in this one or better clubs will be looking to replace their keepers. It's not going to get much better even with the kind of manager we have because the club is flaccid in the market and nothing is ever done efficiently or on time at the club. Not even training.

Caciedo is a very good player but a £80M+ player he is not...he is worth a good fee though...probably in the 60-70M range before add ons... Caicedo has known about united interest and has already rejected Arsenal in favour of joining Chelsea. Arsenal are a more attractive move than United and have Champions league football. When he does that it usually means the deal is very close to being done.
