The last costume is pretty awesome, I was hoping to use it as a base to make a Mystery Machine (From Scooby Doo) costume for my small dog. How did you make the box body???? That's what I was most interested in.

I found a box that already fit my dog's size roughly how I wanted, then I taped everything together except the top. Cut off the 4 top pieces so you've got a completely open box. Then simply cut a half circle on 2 opposite sides so that it fits nicely around your dog's body! I used an extra piece of leather on one of the sides to attach a little strap to go around my dog's neck. Your Mystery Machine idea is so cute!

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you. I will be keeping all these costumes for years to come. My puppy wore all of them on walks and some of them to the dog park. None of them got destroyed or dirty even though she rolled around on the ground and played hard.
